Oraf 500 - 5/22/10

The big annual M.O.R.E. night race at Lucerne is coming up and it has to be one of the biggest races and parties ever.

If you have never been to a race or don't go regularly, this is the one time of the year to make an exception.

The race starts in the late afternoon and leads into the middle of the night. The spectators post up in campsites alongside the race course with pop up tents, campfires, and bbq grills.

The alcohol comes out and it becomes one big party in the desert. You can literally walk around from camp to camp and meet old friends and make new ones.

The race trucks are flying by at 50 to 120 mph with flashing lights, HIDs, and sirens. Girls are wandering around, some in Mardi Gras mode (if you know what i mean), and the smell of bbq burgers and steaks waft through the air.

I will be hanging out there either at the Engage Offroad camp or the CustomTacos/TacomaWorld camp, so come out and hang out.

i wish my truck was able to LT!cuz id def be out there. i need to get on that shit.

 

dont have to be LT to kick it...

it's a race, so all you need is a comfy fold away chair, and ice chest, and good friends...

you can park your truck at camp and then jump into someone else's truck to ride around...

likely once we establish camp, we won't be leaving much...

 

aww u got me convinced now! im gunna try to make it out there. i hope to see some fellow TW people.

Alright, I'll try to make it out I won't know til about thursday ish. The 500 is WORTH it every year.

it starts at 1pm and goes into the night... i have volunteer work at church the following morning, so i will be out there until 11pm at the latest...
