    Hey guys,

Every day we come across instances of bewilderment and frustration. Most of the times those moments can't be explained or understood.

Here's a thread where we can vent a little in hopes that in times past, we can validate these moments as small speed bumps of tolerance that shaped the way we are.

    I'll start...

You know what really grinds my gears?
Someone driving well below speed limit in front of you, but when you try to go around them, they suddenly decide it's NASCAR.

    Keeping it driving related:

    1. People who go 70 in a 70 mph zone in the fast lane holding up the faster traffic. Only then to continue going 70 when the speed changes down to 55 mph zone???

    2. People who are going slow in the fast lane holding up traffic flow, who get passed several times in the slow lane, and still don't move over (get a freaking clue, and move over!!!) (PS: Most state laws follow a version of this general rule" the left lane of a multilane highway is for passing. Keep right except to pass on rural roads . Keep right except to pass where speed limit is at least 65. On multilane highways keep right except to pass and move right if blocking overtaking traffic.")

    3. People who take an eternity to make a freaking turn..

    4. People who keep trying to pass a line of cars in the fast lane using the slow lane only to keep getting caught a behind the slower traffic and having to go back to the back of the line, but yet they just keep on trying. Meanwhile I'm still stuck behind the same slow dum@ss in the fast lane that wont move over and let the faster traffic through..

In some states. In Nevada it's for faster drivers.

People who floor it and then cut you off filling the braking distance you left between the car you were following. I hate to say it but it's most commonly done with a BMW.

I don't know if their mentality is that because there is space in front of you getting ahead of you means they're going faster Or what but it's dangerous and stupid.

Nevada passed the left lane law late last year. You are correct, but that's changing rapidly.

The fact that in Florida there has been enacted a law that says slower traffic must yield right of way and merge right leaving the left lane open for passing vehicles, however it seems most people believe that so long as they're doing near the speed limit they don't need to move over which prevents people who like to cruise at 5 over from being able to overtake. Generally I hang out in the slow lane but it still irks me watching some minivan hold up 30 cars because 65 is close enough to 70 right?

I hit cruise control at 2500rpm which happens to put my happy ass at 68mph.

Kind of related, people who absent mindedly match your speed. Like you start passing them and they speed up and stay alongside of you or they start passing you and you slow down and then they slow down. Especially when they do that while hanging out in your blind spots.

    I call BS.
From the Minnesota Driver's Manual (link below):

    "Right-Hand Lane Travel-
When operating a motor vehicle on highways that are divided into more than one lane in the same direction, you should drive in the right-hand lane when available.
    This does not include:
    • When overtaking and passing another vehicle proceeding in the same direction.
    • When preparing for a left turn at an intersection or into a private road or driveway.
    • When necessary to enter or exit an expressway, freeway, interstate highway, or other controlled access highway.
    • When otherwise directed by an official traffic-control device, a peace officer, or in a highway work zone."

Get the hell out of the passing lane, gear grinder.

Do people forget what this sign means? I love it when left lane self imposed speed regulators get pulled over and ticketed. Some states it’s $400
