Depends what you're talking about. Plenty of outdoors type things to do right now, including mountain biking. All about where you go.

All the rocky Mountains are the same. Don't really thaw out till June haha except the pyors and big horns and even then part if those don't thaw till late.

This year could be a long thaw...or it might get too hot too fast and melt too fast. Which would be bad considering the amount of snow on everything

Praying for a slow spring thaw

Spring snow wheeling is the best snow wheeling.

Also, blown out and flooded rivers are no fun. Bear hunting is more fun without mosquitoes too.

We are totally blown out and flooding here in Missoula.
Turkey hunting was great last weekend, no bugs at all (including ticks)

Welcome to Missoula! If you're referring to offroading, unless you're really into that spring mud and snow, late may/june is about right...and this year maybe a bit earlier.
I was just in Bend recently. Bend and Missoula have a very similar feel so I think you'll like it here. Feel free to hit me up if you want, I know the area pretty well

Anybody know a fabricator for sliders or skids in (or near) Western Montana? These shipping costs from the Cali companies are depressing.

That's about as close as you'll get around here. Make a weekend of it, visit the sand dunes or craters of the moon. That's what I did when I picked up my sliders a few years back

AllPro was in Victor but think I just saw they outsourced/merged with a California company. I was able to pick mine up for free. Might be worth checking out still.

IIRC they relocated back to Cali where they came from originally. They had a hard time staffing a crew here and customer service/production/delivery times went downhill fast.

DO NOT do business with all pro. There are reasons they are no longer a TW vendor.

Trail gear bought them. And they are the leaders in mass produced armor for trucks imo. Should be good to have the allpro stuff sold through trail gear.

There are some dealers that are in Spokane which is 3 hours from Missoula. Not sure what they carry. Try Custom Truck or Titan Truck.
