After installing the Morimoto's, I was initially put-off by the lack of light immediately in front of the truck (while standing outside of the truck). It is definitely a narrower beam pattern than the stock fogs. However, once I sat in the driver's seat, I realized that I couldn't even see that dark section because the hood of the truck was in the way. Heck, I even adjusted the Morimoto's up even further so that there was an even bigger dark spot...but you'd never know if from inside the truck.

Once I got everything adjusted, I was super happy because the beam pattern. Although they are narrow, it is nice and wide and they are brighter than OEM. They definitely arn't BD (or OffRoadTown bright apparently), but they are a very good match to the Hikari Philips brightness. It looks like one seamless beam.

The fact they look nice is just icing on the cake. :D

The only reason I could see this narrow beam being an issue is if someone was outside spotting you...but since you have those sweet rock lights, you've already got that covered.

Hold off on the Pods, at least for now. Another guy on here just sold his Morimoto's to buy a set that are getting rave reviews. Let me go find out which ones. Now, if you can get the Morimotos on sale, and since you are already rocking a light bar, and likely ditch lights later, if I were you, I would go with the Morimotos since you are blacking out your lights. That's just me.

Let me go find Randy for those Pods he is buying.

Yal are contradicting each other now lol :annoyed:

Rob, I do already have a 5D light bar and CaliRaised Ditch lights. Hmmmm good call on the Morimoto blackout. I forgot about that. However, the OffroadTown Pods are also blackout like the Morimotos.

I'll wait and see what you have to say about this other guy and his lights, but hurry cause these are only $85 lol

I did forget about ALL of the other lights that he has. He's trying to compete with MESO (but on a budget). ;) That is a good point tho...the Morimotos look awesome when they are off too.

Right, same black out projector design as Morimotos, the first I’ve seen in a pod, but higher power and much higher output. I’d really doubt anything near the price point will compare.

Once I finish the write up I bet these are going to become extremely popular.

I’ll sell you mine for cheap once I’m done testing them on a 3rd gen. May be a little while though as I have other projects lined up first.

Yea, how do those square pods fit into a round hole? I know Meso 3d printed his own bad ass bezel to fix that issue. Maybe he can make more. I think to you will need a bracket to mount them to. The guy that is buying the pods I posted has a aftermarket, heavy armored bumper with brackets.
