Oh my almost 18 year old Taco gets as much, if not more looks and actual comments as my 2 year old RX. The most-uttered word is "beautiful". Sometimes it's kinda nice to have the truck that can garner that kind of sentiment.

If you are just going to be a mall crawler and have lots of time to maintain the black then go for it......
I just got thru 3hrs of washing, drying doing a quick spray detail on my MGM!
If daily driver and some off road, get a light color, otherwise get the black and buy it a wedding ring!

I have a MGM. In OPs case. I will suggest in white, then wrap it with any color you want. And you can change the color every year. By the time your truck getting old.you want stick with one color. Then, repaint it.

I wanted quicksand but the dealer only had 2017 blacks on the lot and they were offering better deals than 2018's so black 2017 dcsb sport it was.... sucks that work as gravel parking lot, so truck is always looking dirty.

Love black. Have one. The black for ‘18 is metallic and will hide swirls, dirt, etc. better. If you live out west, go Quicksand. Looks awesome on the desert landscape. Cement is awesome too.

Had a black sand pearl 05 and it was impossible to keep clean. Even waxed it looked good for maybe 2 days. Now I own a silver streak taco and it hasn’t been washed in a month looks clean as a whistle

I've had black cars and they look awesome when clean but a lot of work to keep that way.
A Tacoma will look good black and dirty because it's a Tacoma so get what you like and enjoy it. But for what it's worth Cement never looks dirty.

To me black cars always seem to age quicker than other colors. Anytime I see a black car that's a few years old it never looks as "fresh" as the same car in grey or silver. Plus black can get kind of boring after a while. MGM is the best grey being made for any vehicle on the road IMO.

It's a truck, it doesn't matter if it gets dirty or scratched. Go black and murder it out!

Cement never looks dirty unless it’s mud, it just changes shades with different coatings of dust lol...

I have a black 2017. Get it ceramic coated and you won’t have to worry as much with swirls. It’s not as easy to maintain...but whatever, it looks good to me.

If you're OCD about it being clean, swirl marks, scratches don't get black. If you don't really care then it won't bother you. A black vehicle will look great for 10 minutes after it's washed. If you live somewhere that's hot like Houston black is brutal in the summer.
