    Yeah, I hear ya!

They made me come in tonight. There's this completely stupid policy here about actually having to come in and work occasionally before they'll actually pay ya! :notsure:

I've been trying to figure out a way to get paid without having to show up. We actually had an employee at the hospital that somehow was clocking in and leaving. She made off with 52K before anyone caught on

My predecessor on this shift was doing something similar, he'd typically head out of here about 9:30pm on a 6p-6a shift. He'd sometimes work remotely and cover issues, but only sometimes.

After I had been on shift for a while, the Operations sups were all asking me, "So, how long ago did they start covering I.T. 24/7?" Sorry folks, you've had coverage for years...

I couldn't say anything. I knew that may have reflected upon the whole team badly, and that particular issue did get resolved with a personnel change.

In other news, it's my opinion that "Lovedrive" was the best album that the Scorpions ever put out.

That's crazy. People have to know they'll end up getting caught, and then....no job or money coming in.

    Isn't it?

The HYSTERICAL thing about that situation is that it went on for well over a year. The guy quit, he wasn't even fired over it.

The job's a solo IT support gig, and it can get horribly boring at times, but for heaven's sake at least show up?

I'm surprised he didn't make the company fire him and either try to sue or get unemployment :bananadead:

I think the guilt eventually got to him.

Once they figured out he was rarely here, I'm sure they'd want some of those wages back as well.

If I tried something like that, I'd get thrown in jail, huge fine, and made to pay back whatever I took

Hell, I was at a red light, got rear ended by a guy doing 40 that never hit his brakes. I never went to the ER(well I work there), got an estimate for $4900 with $156 rental and $475 tow/storage fee(I had my TJ towed to my house after the lady told me I was responsible for that cost even though I knew I wasn't). I didn't want to file a "loss of value" claim. I was just trying to do the right thing and only wanted the $5531. They sent me a check for $1475 thinking I would cash it  My best friend is a lawyer, so he's now taking care of it :muscleflexing:

I watched the first episode of season 2 last weekend. I have to catch up on my shows during the weekend. It's been great so far.

DON'T TELL ME ANYTHING! LA-LA-LA-LA

I have to wait 'til my wife has time to watch it with me, otherwise it's a permanent exile to the couch.

I LOVE Westworld, I re-watched all of Season 1 just to catch up and forgot just how good it was!
