LMAO i work in an ear nose and throat office occasionally and we get that all the time. they even pulled out like 5 babies from my ear once. DONT USE Q TIPS! they told me the ears clean themselves out.

I know...I couldn't stop. Scary. A couple of those looked like baby birds before they had feathers. So....what is the proper untensil if not Q tip? If they cleaned themselves then how did that vid come about?

 

cuz people use q tips... all it does is push the wax deeper in the ear. the ears will push the wax out themselves. the docs at the office always say "dont stick anything smaller than your elbow in your ear".... weird saying but its true. not supposed to stick anything in there.

That was gross, but I am not gonna lie that look like it felt pretty good. I always thought bobby pins we're the best alternative for Q-tips.

small tweezers or hemostats (little clamp), remember they said don't stick anything into your ear and they said nothing about sticking something in anothers ear

 

lol. I meant like all the gooey stuff. The boy loves beans, but you know how baked beans have all that sauce too. He doesn't stick a piece of food in there, its all sauce/juice/gravy from on his hands that gets in there.

 

That was satisfying to watch; looks like it felt awesome.
My ears don't produce enough cebum (wax) so my inner ear drys out like a desert. I've had this problem since I was a kid, and I have to say that using a combination of qtips and tweezers has always helped clear the dry skin.

 

Couple of years ago, my wife kept complaining of sharp pains in one of her ears. Soon afterwards, she could no longer hear out of it. She went to her primary doctor who told her ear was compacted with wax and could not do anything about it. He sent her to a ENT doctor who dropped some liquids into her ear then basicially used a cork screw type extraction device and pulled out a wad of wax. She no longer uses Q-Tips...
