since were on the topic of racks. My rack clicks going in/out on the driver side only. I pulled the boot back and its the steering rack that seems to either have play or makes noise. I first thought it was a loose inner TRE but those were tight.

Is my rack on life support? No leaks just a click and slight movement. Bolts are tight as well.

I'm on my 2nd rack and will be needing a 3rd one soon, hopefully I can hold out for the MarRack..

The "MarRack" in development by MarlinCrawler but looks promising none the less..

cut a series of 3/16ths plates for the inside of the frame to make it a fully boxed, then add several X cross members that go top to bottom, and at least 2 count 3" diameter tubes that go all the way through inner and outer frame walls, so you can see light through the truck.

*The above based on inspection of frames for heavy and super duty trucks, not any knowledge of linked taco frames.

Lol was just running deliveries at work and saw a 2nd gen trd or, and thinking about this I thought there was something wrong with it. Nope it was just completely stock and looked small.

Nope and I'm assuming nope. You can always re-drill the driveshaft, but 2nd gen Tundras are way wider than the first gen Tundra axles that people usually use. It's what 2nd gen Tacoma guys with +6" kits use. Stick with first gen (00-06) Tundra axles - they'll most likely be less expensive too!

    A thing or two...
That's first gen rear axle width. 2nd gen is around 66".

front wms to wms varies depending on how much lift you have too , as you lift the front end the front end pulls in narrower so if you need a precise measurement you should measure your own truck under load

Well I do know that the lift I have gives me an extra 1.5 in overall width im just trying to double check what the straight from the factory width is.
