Anyone doing this or familiar with setting it up on a Switch Pros? I don’t have any lights mounted yet but my original plan was to just mount and run 4 off my switch pros and mount 4 separate lights to tie into the dome lights to work with the lock/unlock.. if I can get this and save mounting/wiring the extra 4 lights that’d be awesome!

With the new switch pro, I think you can just tap your trigger wire to the yellow dome wire. Then program whatever lights you want to be triggered when the dome light is activated.

I did not see this question or answer. Please forgive me if I missed it. I am asking this for clarity to help some that might want the added lights to function with the fade on/off of the proximity.

Is it a true statement that with this wiring harness the added lights will NOT fade on and off like the dome lights?

That is correct. They do not fade like the dome.

KTJO4x4 is correct the newer model switch pros have a way to utilize a negative trigger. Although I have no experience with it. As far as utilizing this with switchpros you should be able to. The only thing that concerns me (very little) is that there is no diode to eliminate back flow to the switch. For the CH4x4 this is no problem, and I like the way it works. When the dome light triggers the lights the switch logo will glow, showing it is on. I call switchpros and they say that this is "not recommended", now that statement doesnt help me. I highly doubt it would hurt, but I dont have experience with the switchpros. Worst case you'd have to through an extra diode in there to prevent back flow to the switchpros. Best case its no big deal and it will illuminate the switchpro similar to the setup with the CH4x4.

If someone could confirm this that would be fantastic...

The only bad thing about the switch pro is that you have to have your accessories plugged into the SwitchPro to use the trigger wires. Not a bad thing at all if that is your plan. However, I have my own switch in my upper console for my Rock Lights/Courtesy Lights. Therefore, I was unable to use my SwitchPro Trigger for the Dome Light function. Instead, I used my trigger wires for my Reverse function and Highbeam Function. Some use the one trigger for the Dimming function of the SwitchPro to be triggered with the Lowbeams. If I were to get another SwitchPro, I suppose I could use the trigger wire on the new SwitchPro for the Dome Light and switch all of my wiring. However, then I would have an empty spot where my current switch is located. I currently have the fade with the Dome Lights now, but if you don’t get this Harness or you want to be able to turn your rock lights on anytime while being tapped into the dome light, this is the only way possible. Otherwise, you have to choose. I could keep my setup the way I currently have it: Rock Lights in the Front and Back on my Switch CH4x4 and my Side LED Strips fading on/of with my Dome Lights. Keeping them separate. Or forget about the fading portion, get this harness, and just have them turn on/off like my other accessories with no fading due to the relay. I chose option 2 bc I want to be able to do both. I want the Side LED strips to come on/off with my Dome, as well as, I want my Side LED Strip Lights to come on/off by my anytime CH4x4 Switch with my Front and Rear Rock Lights.

Current Pictures with how my setup is now prior to getting my harness to change it.

In the video you will notice the LED Light Strips fade in and out with the Dome, but in order to have it this way, I cannot have what my ultimate goal is which is my Rock/Courtesy Lights together.

I hope this helps clear up any confusion and why this harness is needed. I have not played around with my SwitchPro trigger wires as they are already taken and I have a separate Switch in my overhead console already for this mod. I wanted my Hood Lights, Bed Lights, Rock/Courtesy Lights, and Anytime Front and BackUp Camera Switches all together and not on my SwitchPro.

I am also not sure if the switchpro trigger is able to handle the pulsed ground signal from the dome.... I can not confirm that...

I have a question, does this work if the dome light is always switched to off? What I mean is I hate having the dome light automatically turn on when unlocking the car, so I switched it to off, would your harness still work like this? I already have rock lights hooked up to my sPOD and would love this setup but I don't want the dome light to have to turn on

If the switch on the dome light is switched off, dsims harness will still receive the negative trigger from the door switch and still turn on your rock lights, given that you also had tapped into a 12 volt constant also.
