Stompers! Those were the best. My brother and I had a couple of the 6x6 rigs, a cab over Kenworth and a long nose Peterbuilt. Man. I loved those things.

Well played! My kids are spoiled but they are good kids. And beautiful like me!! Mostly I just pay them to be mean to my wife...

    Late to the party, but...

9 and 6. They don't get an allowance, but I do give them opportunities to make money. They are expected to clean up after themselves, rinse their plates, clean the dinner table, keep their rooms clean, stuff like that. When there's something I don't feel like doing I will offer them a chance to do it for a little cash. From .50 to a few dollars depending on what it is. Catch is the money has to go into their money jars for saving. They only get to spend it during certain times of the year, and then on things like extra special school supplies and stuff like that.

In my own mind! JK. Hell no, I would not have married her if I didn't think she was slightly out of my league. On a serious note my children are well taken care of and have most anything they want but they must respect my wife and I and if they F up stuff gets taken away. If they stop respecting the things they are fortunate to have, things start going in the trash. They have it pretty easy around the house but they are respectful and good kids. I did not have much when I was younger but learned the value of things and how to respect things and people. We work hard to instil that while providing a better childhood than we had.

I do not give them an amount for specific task but they have to behave to keep the crap they have, get new shit and so on. I have savings accounts for both children that we contribute to every month and they both have piggy banks and money they get for grades. $10 per A and so on that they save and spend on things we deem excessive.

Sometimes I can't figure out how to get a show on the Roku that my 3 year old is trying to watch when my wife is out of the house so I get so frustrated I end up paying my 9 year old $10 to do it so I can go get a beer out of the garage...

I paid handsomely for good grades.
    Everybody wants some reward/motivation.
    And it paid off.
    No boomerang kids. Awesome careers.

My kid is 10 months old so no allowance yet. But when it’s her time to earn she will earn it by pick picking up her room, dog shit pick up and dishes among other things. Give her like 10 bucks a week and match whatever she can save.
