Also, if you like the short one day trail runs. The Colorado LC group goes every 3rd Saturday. There are a few extras on the schedule currently:
May 5-6: Cruise Moab (limited group size)
    May 19th: Medano Pass
Early June: Rising Sun multi-day trip to Grand Mesa (tougher, for more built rigs)
    June 16th: Cloverdale Mine

Schedule is here: https:// forum. ih8mud. com / threads /2018-trail-schedule.1035963/

So my Alcan springs and u-bolts are in...any one with plans for mod days in the near future? I would host one...but I do not have the space, tools, or location suitable to do so. I don't even have a flat driveway.

How were the conditions up there? I imagined yankee hill would still be under snow but with these 70 degree days I have no idea

Does anyone know if Medano pass is open as soon as passable or if they have some Date closure deal like some trails do?

It was the most crowded I’ve ever seen that trail, but conditions weren’t bad. No snow until past the shooting area. We had no real difficulty, but we heard there was a group stuck on the last approach to the top and turned around on account if it being late in the day and knowing there were a lot of people to pass on the way down.

I believe just as soon as its passable. Just depends on road conditions. Factors include runoff, maybe some snow still in drifts, downed trees etc. Once its all clear it will open all the way through. Should be open fairly soon id imagine as its been a shit winter.

The road is now OPEN all the way over the pass.

I was looking at this yesterday. I'm thinking about running it Saturday either making it a long day trip or camp. I'll be down at my pops tonight through Sunday anyway which is on the east slope of the Green Horn.

It was supposed to be ready earlier this week :censored:

As I told @CO MTN Steve I'll be down south of Pueblo in the San Isabel area this weekend already, I wouldn't mind hitting a couple trails like Medano
