I needed to Dremel a bit of some plastic down below that was holding the (+) wires back. I needed about an inch of longer reach to the different terminal placement. Not a big problem! (I have since changed the wiring though.)

I use Chevron too. Unfortunately, we do most of our shopping at Trader Joe's so I don't have enough Vons credit to get significant discounts. :(

    Looks like a good one.

I like the idle down feature a great deal. Keeps the motor from working itself needlessly.

I posted this elsewhere but thought it might help here as more people see this:

    MyTPMS experience:
    1. Got aftermarket ORO-TEK TPMS sensors installed when I ordered new wheels/tires online with a reputable site. Fine print on Invoice even said "Guaranteed compatibility with 2017 Tacoma" <- it pays to read fine print.
    2. After mounting wheels on Truck, the tire pressure idiot light and the dash pressure gauges did not reflect anything (light blinked for 1 minute and then stayed on, pressure on all 4 tires showed "---").
    3. Did the useless Toyota reset button dance for the fun of it.
    4. Using my Autel tools I did the relearn procedure...did not work...did the reset and unlock...did not work, I did see it uploaded the Hex values to the ECU but the ECU and the TPMS were not talking to each other. Looked to me like compatibility issue as my Autel could see the ECU and the TPMS but they could not talk to each other.
    5. Reviewed ORO-TEKs documentation on the TPMS sensors (which was not easy as they are a knock-off of a knock-off China company), but I eventually found a fact sheet which showed ORO-TEKs compatability for Sienna/Sequoia and Tundra but Not Tacoma.
    6. Called site I got the wheel package and they called ORO-TEK who confirmed the sensors were not going to work, nor does ORO-TEK have any yet that will.
      • SideBar: The most likely cause of the incompatibility is that the GEN III Tacomas expect a 7 character HEX value for the sensors and the current aftermarkets are mostly just 6 character. This I read on some other sites and I confirmed I do have 7 character TPMS senors installed with my read tool.
    7. The site that sold me the wrong stuff stated only a Dealer had the proper sensors but they would refund the cost, shipping and labor to reinstall.
    8. Got job done at local dealer, no problems, works well and fresh batteries.
    Lessons learned:
      • New Trucks with New Technology likely should start at the Dealer.
      • Forums have lots and lots of idiots who have absolutely no idea what they are talking about.
      • Expensive trucks cost more to maintain as full retail for sensors will be $94 each next time around.
      • It pays to have good tools.

Gave here a bath and detail in and out. Added first coat of f11 top coat and only used .75 oz of a 2oz bottle for the whole truck. Also installed door sill vinyls in a perfect graphite color that matches trim pieces from the interior. 510795BC-D6B1-44E5-86D1-3FAC63259DE6.jpg 04A3E0E3-818D-4003-9CFD-97E57762C64F.jpg BFD981F1-51D6-4887-A7A0-06AA6D29B2CB.jpg image.jpg image.jpg C539C732-3F7E-462A-B6ED-0CCB0857C3E0.jpg 8ED6E43C-4CC3-4B83-9C90-BF1FEA93F108.jpg E5EECBAC-C779-456C-8421-B6EB92712891.jpg

Alright doll-face, c'mon and bore me!
So these are the wheels I picked up off evilBay yesterday:

    s-l1600.jpg

I'm going to have them powdercoated (that oem alumigray is depressing). Leaning towards some kind of chrome or silver to tie in with the rest of the chrome trim. Chrome. (Hah! I just wanted to say it again).

So, you guys seen any interesting wheel finishes lately that I should look into?

I was looking at the "black chrome" just for grins. Kinda' messes with your brain. "Is it black? ...or is it chrome?". :goingcrazy:

Yeah... with all of our state taxes added in gas runs anywhere from $3.59 to $3.99 per gallon depending on the octane level.

That really sucks, I can run straight gas way cheaper than that. I just heard on the news that gas in OK is almost a dollar more now than it was a year ago this time.

We've gone up about 60 cents a gallon here in Phx over the last 2 months. Paid $2.87 yesterday for 87. Headed to San Diego at the end of the month, I guess I better start saving now for the trip home. LOL

Bronze looks surprisingly good on Tacos, but dark grey or black on a barcelona red just sets everything off for me.

    Probably grab these:

    https://www.homedepot.com/p/DEWALT-6-in-Swivel-Head-Riveter-Tool-DWHTMR77C/204285381

    Nicely done.

Looks like we have the same rails, sill protectors and ditch lights (mine are still in the box, lol....need to install them when I get a day off to play with them).

How smooth did your ditch light installation go ?

Any tips on running the wire through the firewall ?

Mine came with their low profile brackets that appear to be a bit more tedious to bolt on....they suggested mounting the lights to the brackets first.

I really like those Wade Sure-Fit matts. The coverage is super. I'll likely go this direction once my factory matts wear out.

Red TRD on your wheels is a cool touch.

You'll like freak some folks out with talk of adding chrome, lol.

I'm not one of them....perfectly okay with it, here.

So glad I don't have to deal with the issues you have to succumb to living there.....gas prices being just one of them. Sorry, man.

Iv'e been drooling over dark bronze Ray 10's for a while now.

That's a cool simulator you are running there.
