Long story short im trying line everything out to avoid running any spacers because unlike some people I want my front and rear wheels to have the same track width.

Have you taken into account that those super sweet maxtracs add about 1.5” to your width up front?

Thats what ive been told but my logic is you dont see BJ baldwin or any other pros running wider in the front so is it actually better? Sure they may be an inch or so wider in the front (understandable) but I see some of these trucks running stock rear ends with fronts that look like they may as well be 10"s wider it looks stupid to me. No disrespect to anyone who runs that way just a personal preference.

Im all stock other then a spindle lift and bigger tires. So im trying to get some parts ordered im going with the bed cage set up from Dmz with 63s and the kings that Tim suggested, deciding on rear axle between currie and camburg not sure yet. Then TC up front with appropriate kings as well.

Just throw on some .5" spacers in the rear and call it good.

If your plan is to run chevy 63’s I wouldn’t even worry about the wms of your rear end or what BJ Baldwin does

That would be all fine and dandy if I wasn’t doing the total chaos +3.5 kit in the front

Then run 2" spacers in the rear. Most of us on here with +3.5 kits are running either 1.5", 2" spacers or a custom axle

That’s why I’m going with new axle just haven’t made up my mind between the two I mentioned earlier

That’s boring. I think he should go +5 per side in the rear. Nice square setup with room to run some of this bj Baldwin King Kong bypasses

I was simply using BJ as a reference to The comment about running wider in the front is better . Don’t you think if running wider in the front was better the pros would be doing it as well.

I have 1.25" spacers in the rear with a +3.5" kit in the front. I know the front is wider due to logic but looking at it you can barely tell. I ran rear spacers with stock front for some time and nobody ever knew.

Matching track widths exactly down to the inch is more for mental sanity than perceptible difference.

Gotcha. Following pictures of pro trucks is probably a better method to determine how to build your street driven tacoma then listening to the guys that have shared their experience with handling characteristics based on our specific vehicles. The good thing is, if you run chevy 63’s you’ll never go fast enough to notice the difference between the two
