I did the DIY tranny flush at 200k. Pretty simple. I think it was beneficial considering the color of the fluid that got flushed out.

Like I said earlier the big difference between a 2500 dodge and a 3500 Dodge is only a number on the door placard. Same thing when you look at the Ferds. Same drive train, same rear axle. Leaf spring might be slightly less spring rate. The difference comes down to taxing.

Gas and Diesel debate is strong. You will likely never save the difference in purchase price verses fuel cost and mileage over the length of ownership. It is easier to make stupid power with a diesel but you don't want that for towing really because it brings its own issues. This is more of a "what do you want" question.

Gas trucks are generally cheaper to maintain as well (Well, maybe not Triton Fords, but the older 460s are good)
