    in the previous post you can see a definite elev change of near 1k ft corrected elev . Now the higher in elev the air becomes thicker or less oxygen and this causes the engine to get less air or lower hp #'s

    So a total fluctuation of 293 ft of corrected elevation? So based on what I have been researchign about altitude and HP, I am seeing a "generic rule of thumb" claiming for every 1,000ft of elevation gain you loose about 10hp. If that is true then these fluctuations should yield about a 3HP loss from the from 1st runs VS the last?

    332' of corrected elev change in the DA and yes figure on 10hp loss per 1k ft elev gain

    @TacoSauceHB

    Now you know why I'm always chasing the weather conditions at the dragstrip just so i can run the 10.60 index

    Ok cool, so between 3 - 4hp fluctuation from DA conditions alone. I really appreciate you sharing all your knowledge. A good buddy of mine I grew up with races Top Fuel professionally but he is way to busy to help me like you have been.

    This is him below btw...

    If you were in my shoes, would you run the stock intake 1st then run the CAI or other way around? I figure if I run with stock intake 1st and then CAI .... any HP gains would be if anything conservative from the DA loss so would be very hard to argue with. If I do it the other way around I feel people will blame the DA conditions as the culprit

    I had mine shipped to AZ and drove back with it lol It was nearly impossible to find anyone willing to help me get one here in Cali. The CA approved CAI's just have a charcoal filter built into I think, at least my last AFE was.

    New flash 1.04 successful. I am ready to roll gentlemen. Charging my camera for video and installing my stock intake first thing in the morning.

    FYI I have been running my K&N for a few months now and look how clean my MAF is. I saw a lot of people claiming it will get oily from the filter. I dont see a trace

    The day has come.....
    I just spent 20 minutes swapping out the K&N and installing the stock intake. Camera is charged, memory stick clear. Ready for Dyno runs. Lets do this! haha

    TRD performance air filters are oiled... I’m sure the engineers know a thing or two... I’ve never had a problem with K&N filters as well.

    27 pages for someone to finally spend $40 on a dyno, yet plastic grills go for $300 like hotcakes around here.

    The guy says he might not have the right adapter for my 6 lug hub. It's a chassis Dyno ....:rant:

    That's not good !!

    But a hub dyno is more accurate than a dyno that uses rollers !!

    All the big hp cars use hub dyno's as you won't get tire slippage which is very common on a dyno with rollers
