I roll into HomeDepot on a stop for Granny. Home boy's (daylabors) chewing the fat and laughing pretty good for not working. Granny stepped out and off on her errand. Thought I'd kill some time and do some real life trolling. Black Lab pops out with me and leashes up. Started on a mission. My lab has a real keen nose and I led him off to start sniffing vehicles. Third one in he sits down after making a pass on it. To make sure we circled again. Sat down again. Home boys are silent, deafening silence.

 

Well, they made me eat my words.

Thanks Glen. In the letter I wrote to them, every time I wrote Tacoma I bolded the word Taco. Just like that. Must have done it about 13 times throughout the half page explanation.

 

Did you send them pics of other CA plates with "taco" on them?

 

do you recall when you submitted online? i put in my plate request on 3/21 and i hope to hear soon.

 

I didn't think to til after I sent it. I forgot to even mention that I have seen other plates with taco on them.

 

My original request was submitted on 1/12, got my letter early march with denial. Sent an explanation letter late March, and just received approval yesterday...

 

Was a solid 8 weeks, I would guess you might see something in the next week or two...

i just spent about 30 hours rebuilding/painting my bumper. the rust on the inside was hand sanded and covered with Rustoleum Rusty Metal Primer, then flat black. the clean metal parts have a coat of self etching primer, then primer, then flat black.

i think it looks pretty good. i hope the rust stays away for at least 5 years.
