My sugar took this last weekend...

For the guys with 35's and 4-6" lift, is a front diff drop required? My only complaint about the truck is that the PO regeared it 4.56 and its overgeared for 33's, so I'm trying to figure out what I would have to do to make 35's fit with little to no rubbing, and keeping some articulation. The other choices are live with it or drop to 4.10-4.11. It has a LOT of low end, but is screaming at 75+

Don't get the diff drop it doesn't do anything. 4.56s are great especially off-road but if it's your DD it wouldn't be fun. For 35's you need to get a CMC (I'm assuming he already had it done) possibly bigger bump stops and cut your fenders up or remove them. It all depends, you're going to have to cycle the suspension and see where you rub. Not hard just really time consuming.

I'm sure some 2nd gen guys can comment as well.

I'll have to compare some photos of the CMC and mine. I think it was done, but if it was, it's very cleanly welded. The flares are trimmed to fit the 33's, and the clearance is close, but enough.

For 35s to fit on a 2-3" lift it is you will need to massage the hell out of the pintch welds on the firewall, CMC, remove anywherre between 1-2"from the fenders and add some forward caster on the alignment. but if you already have a 4-6" lift on the truck then i would say you probably dont to cut the fenders but follow the rest of the steps above.

If your mount has this lip of steel it has not been done. This is my stock cab mount.

Thanks guys. The pic helps a lot and I'll look in a few.

My lift is a stage 4 Icon with OME heavy springs in the back. It measures right around 3" based on stock wheel center to flare measurements I've seen.

I enjoy the way it rides and don't want to sacrifice the ride quality for lift height.

I'll settle for getting 285 75's under me. The 285 70 Toyo's measure right at 33" and the 75's take it to 33.87 (or so). Every little bit helps keep me from regearing.

You could try 315's, it's basically a 34 or really small 35 depending on the other measurements.

I'll pull the 315's off of my 80 series and see how close they are, what rubs and then I'll know whether I should bother.
