Will that screw up your work schedule ??

 

Well that was a long week. Now for weekend work.

 

Anthony!! Between having survived storm Sandy and this crazy year you had, I hope you both can take a break(Vacation) this summer!

 

Not really. I pad my schedules incase of something like this. If I get ahead of schedule by not having a stoppage then it's all the better. If I get a stoppage I switch gears to something else that'll either catch me up with the little stuff that always gets pushed off or work on another project to get ahead with that.

The service light came on in my work truck so it'll go in Monday afternoon and I'll probably lose it for a week. All the equipment fuel tanks are full so, barring a need for wrenches, I could lose it for a week and not be in bad shape as long as I can borrow someone else's. There's an older Tahoe I could use as long as none of the "ologists" need to go to the field or out of town.

 

Back in 1982 I had a ROTC wanting me to salute him , I was like WTF is he thinking LOL !! . He was no where near being a commissioned Officer , I had more Rank on him being NCO

 

Should have pulled his 5th wheel pin !!

 

When I was at Ft Lewis, they had the ROTC summer camp and the little fuckers were everywhere...we called them "cadidiots".

I had some fun at MCRD a couple times. We used the medical facilities there and 32nd St Naval Base. Went to MCRD in uniform and those poor little recruits seen my Air Force rank on my sleeves with all those stripes with a star in the middle and had no clue what to do. It was pretty comical.

 

You might want to look at LCA as well. When they do frame swaps they replace LCA if they give them grief and they usually do. They can’t get them off without destroying them.

Well no tv here so we put up a 3rd hummingbird feeder. That and lots of rain made me sleep on porch. Woke up with crik in neck

 

I was down at Balboa Naval Hospital during my Medical Discharge hearing and was wearing my "Charlie" short sleeve uniform that day . I was walking to the barracks with a Master Gunnery Sgt when we came across a fresh Boot Recruit from MCRD with a shaved head , grey sweatshirt and new BDU trousers holding his medical file that literally bumped into us walking around a corner

He saw two squared away Marines with all kinds of stripes on our sleeves and froze solid . We both start belittlering this recruit as if we were his Drill instructors he looked like he was going to pass out from shear fear !!!


This recruit had a soda and bag of chips in his hand and I went off on him screaming . I said Recruit where the hell did you get that soda and chips . His answer was "Sir I don't know .... Sir " , After that Master Guns stepped in and started screaming at this recruit . I almost thought that recruit was going to soil his shorts he was so F'n scared LOL !!!
