We’d have a couple thousand gallons of rainwater if we were prepared after the past 12 hours

Saw a male ruby throat, they are moving North fast. The males come through about 2 weeks ahead of the females. Headed to Fleet Farm in the morning for fertilizer and Trimec. Dug out the feeder from last year and it is black with mold even though it was outside. Or maybe because. Just added a hummer feeder to the list. And grape jelly for the Orioles. Warblers will be here soon. No. Yes. No. You betcha.

Damn need to get the dog on some chukkas for the Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retriever AKC hunt test evaluation coming up June 22. Two weeks ago there was too much snow to run the dog. Now it is getting too hot. What the hell happened to Spring?! Hot is relative though...

Hey tcBob went to the trouble of giving us a real Cyborg. The WSM.

    :smokertransformer:

    The Weber Smokey Mountain

    all stacked up.jpg

Or you could break out the rattle can and do the Silver Mountain

Largest software change in our history. I moved 1.5 million images over and at midnight we shutdown for 4 hours. At 0400 we flip the switch. I have lofty goals for this weekend. Grilling a brisket is out of the question but think going to take a chance on some chicken shish kabobs. Pretty much working through the weekend including the formal 6PM to 6AM shift on Sunday for cut over when users and patients come in Monday. Hospitals and Emergency Rooms have already been live for awhile.

Those images should get us through where we see a million patients a month. Can't do a day one implementation and seems like all I do is data migration from legacy systems. Getting too old for this chit, or so says my body. And my mind. Yard work and feeding the birds is healing.

With a cut over like this we are all on call. All hands on deck, want to see nothing but assholes and elbows. Technically no I am not on call but it really doesn't matter. Team of 12 and I am the technical specialist so am always on call. I try to stay ahead of the game and not have the helpless desk call me as I am Level 3 and try beat them to the punch. If I do my job they should never call me. Beats the hell out of management position and I don't miss that role by going technical.

I'm sensing an older pic there. I see no cylinder lock or wheels.

Thanks for the smile :) Hasn't yet. But it is early. And no matter how many permutations you try the end uses will come up with something you didn't think of. For 20 years a bigger sledge hammer on the slugging wrench would solve the problem even on a Nuke reactor. Damn software and users, not so much. But I have wanted to try it more than once :) A system is a system...

Love it, and that whole time frame. Even Bowie and Suffragette City, but more so Southern Rock. Skynyrd. But wore the diamond needle out on the record player with Toys in the Attic.

Yep it has been an evolution. One that I don't regret. One step at a time. Or was that Skynyrd one step closer to the door?!

And queue length is backing up. I knew it was going to happen but no excuses. Just make it work. Come on baby needs needs new shoes...

And all is well in the world, for now.

Not sure about the Rock have a couple of friends that live there 6 months of the year. This is not the 6 months. And do not watch news anymore.

Music is a very powerful reminder of life. Which is something I really like about this place.

Of all the music I have listened to in my life think one of the most powerful is this one. Despite being retired military and a product of the time. My hair is long now that I am retired, hey still have it. And white but I blame that on my sons LOL. But the ultimate in making a person think IMO.

But Jane is still a Commie Bitch. Captain Davis who was the skipper of NRD Harrisburg after being a POW in NAM for years confirmed that for me. But Sr. Chief Sarfoss who was a Seabee confirmed it also when we were all playing cards one night.

We were in a hotel room and playing poker and Capt. Davis said he wasn't used to playing with real cards and was used to bamboo cards. WTF do you say to that?! He looked at them and said well kiss a fat mans ass. Sr. Chief said well Skipper do you do want go to my room or yours, mine are as bad. Last we saw of him that night he got up and walked out.

I sold Sr. Chief my FJ55 when I got married and she wanted a "better" vehicle. After almost a quarter century of marriage I miss her in some ways and am still raising and taking care of our 2 sons. But I really miss the FJ55 more than I do her now. That took a long time, but it happened.
