Google “road force balancing” for your area to get local quotes. They use a balancer that is computer controlled and has a wheel that pushes up to 12k lbs against the tire while it is rotating to simulate road pressure on the tires.

If you feel it on the wheel, could be uneven tread wear. Changing tire pressure will change the feel of it.

Could be a bad CV. Didn't damage it doing the bushing job did you? Could be a u joint going bad as well.

Toyota did the bushing install under a TSB

Did you ever get this resolved?
I’m having the same. Rumble strip vibration still at 80 km/h which is most apparent when cruising. I have the ECGS bushing installed, OME carrier bearing drop and just removed my diff drop, with no change. The vibration still seems to go away in 4Hi. I think axle shims may be the next attempt? Didn’tthink a 2” lift would cause so much!

It’s still there. Forget the cb drop and do 2.5-3 degree shims...that made the biggest difference for me. I’ve heard if you drop a leaf after the shims it can help too. It is only 37-40 mpg for me now with a very small one around 70. That rumble strip is because you have cb dropped. Mine is more parabolic and small vibration at top of steering wheel as if I have slightly nobbier tires

I am also noticing that it feels different based on revs which is starting to make me wonder if my tranny fluid is low

I havn't been on here in a while, but it sounds like i'm experiencing the same thing. light harmonic vibrations, hard to describe but feel it lightly in the steering wheel and pedal. Some speeds I feel it, some I do not. Usually feel it 40-45mph and also noticeable when slowing down. I've been planning on the ECGS bearing, thought that would be the fix? Is toyota doing the TSB fix for gen3 Tacomas?

Yea I understand the diff between the need for the egcs bushing, as well as the CB drop and shimming...

I was just jumping in because my vibs seem to be very similar in case any good info was added. Mine is a very slight, pulsating vib only at the 35-40 mph range.

I only lifted mine 2 inches, so I'm gonna remove the CB drop and shim the axle 2 degrees...

Check the torque on the cb bolts too for drive line vibes

Did you buy the ecgs bushing and convince the dealership to install it instead while performing the TSB? I think the TSB entails replacing the bushing with a replacement OEM bushing which will just fail again if lifted.

    That would be real lucky.
Toyota did the TSB on mine and the replaced bushing failed immediately again.

    Update on this 5/17/18.

Was in CO for a week. Let truck sit in garage while I was gone. Drove it to work this morning with no vibe.

What could have changed during vehicle sitting?
