PB is nothing special, just your average beach break but it's closest to me so I head out there most frequently. If you're into longboarding, Old Mans and PB Point can give you some nice long rides.

Anyone have a carver or similar type board? I’m in a buying spree lately and want to get something to skate around on for the flat days.

Just got done with a sesh. Went to RJs. was waist high at best on sets. Caught a lot of waves though. Definitely need some more board under me though for these days. Saw a couple really nice 7’ ish boards at Frog House that I might buy.

Good thing they’re removable haha. But I actually found a couple really clean boards at A local shop. Might buy one tomorrow

Come on. No secret that blacks is a fun wave. Just guide them to the goat path. Maybe they’ll get lost!

Anyone watching the surf ranch event. I feel like I’m only watching because I’m hoping to see something crazy. But been pretty mediocre so far. I rate the format and wave for contests a.... MEH

I watched team USA round 1 as it was on TV. I don't know how I feel about it. It's a cool concept, but I dunno, it's kinda boring to see the SAME wave over and over with little to no variation. Part of what makes regular comps great is the paddle battles for waves and never knowing when some freak wave is gonna come in and just be the wave of the day

True, it has been swamped the last 8 years. Ever since Surfer mag came out with an article on it with directions from the 5 freeway. That and surfline whoring it out...Pretty much like trestles these days...All i ask is paddle out if you know what your doing, it is one of the heaviest waves in Socal, and not for beginners. I used to get it uncrowded, not no more. Its a zoo.

Sad days man. Every wave everywhere seems to be getting more and more crowded
