so my 2016 Tacoma has a dead battery. I was curious to see what battery was most popular here. I've been looking at a Interstate MTP-27F if i can find one local

Everyone is going to say Optima... and for a reason. Don't get too caught up in brand names, just don't go buying a walmart diehard or whatever they call them!

I don't believe so. Normally things like batteries, tires, and filters are not warrantied as they need to be replaced rather often.

Any brand AGM battery will be a reliable upgrade over the stock lead acid battery.

Your battery falls under the 3 year 36k warranty, if there is an issue the dealer will replace it.

I had my 20k service the other day and they said that the battery was tested and came back as showing bad and it would have been like $180 or so to replace it. Then I asked about a battery warranty and they said it was covered for three years, of which I still have a year and a few months on so I was going to have them replace it. The service person came back after a few minutes and said they ran another test and it came back okay this time lol.

Needless to say, I am going to see if I can get it covered under warranty before my three years is up.

I’ve read a lot of reviews and recent Optimas have taken a shit compared to years past.

Odyssey 1500 is what I decided on, $265 it’s not cheap. If you do upgrade to a 34, it’s actually 3/4” shorter than stock, do you’ll need a riser, or make something like I did with my leet woodworking skills.

My stock battery is about a year old and I used it in another vehicle where I needed it, so it all worked out.

Yep, you are on your own for one, many guys on here get the Northstar Battery and they run group buys sometimes.

+1 for the Odyssy. Seriously never heard my truck start so easily. Only downside is that’s it’s expensive. I’m hoping I can squeeze 5 years out of it.

any AGM will be good, I personally run an X2Power 31M, same thing as the northstar batteries, but sold at Batteries Plus.

I did install H7 AGM battery as shown in the picture. I chose Autocraft from local Advance Auto to try out. It's been few weeks and so far so good. Let's cross fingers to see how long it will last.

I bought this to extend dash cam power while in parking mode because stock battery kept going below 12.1v with daily driving which means useless parking mode, but this new battery keeps charge strong.

Oh and I found that Cusco battery tie down laying around in my room & it fits great.

What a piece of shit of a dealer scum bag. I would have puncture all the tires on his lot and broken the windshields...

Cool. Would you consider a group buy for that piece of wood mod type? Free shipping?
