We got that same stupid policy here:annoyed:

At a previous job we had a guy get fired for punching out for his lunch, went across the street to the bar and bought a six-pack and put it in his trunk didn't drink any. Went to court and the COMPANY WON! At that point they can fire you for pretty much anything, even on your own time!WTF?!?

    Lawered up!

I brought my boss' boss a 6-pack of home brew we had made, I had it in the break room fridge before I dropped it off on his desk.

I would have much rather them done the right thing and left it alone. I guess they thought I needed the TJ and money, but they'll meet their grand daddy drunk on this one. I have the TJ sitting on the driveway. It's not costing me a thing, so I'm willing to fit over this. I should charge them $30 a day storage for it sitting on my property

Time to go shut down the fire alarm and do a annual inspection of the Fire Department Hose Connections (FDHC).

I'm just lucky I have a buddy that's taking care of it for me. It's bullshit the company is trying to lowball me. This is the first time I've ever dealt with someone else's insurance. You would think they saw I wasn't trying to run up a hospital bill or asking for anything more than what's on the estimate and bills I've already paid for out of pocket.......hell the TJ has been at my house for 3 weeks. That's $630 I've saved them.
Because of the way they chose to handle it, I'll now file a "loss of value" claim.

They don’t care about money your trying to save them. They are shooting for the least possible payout. I would have gone to the hospital in a ambulance just to be sure that nothing was wrong. Then I would use my insurance to get me right, then let my insurance chase them! This is part of the reason to buy insurance. We we’re involved in a hit and run awhile back. The police found and confirmed that this was the car and driver of the vehicle that hit us. We took care of ourselves with our insurance then let them handle all of the legal wrangling with his insurance. Our Dr. told us always make sure your alright right after a accident. Adrenaline can hide things that should be looked at.

I could have easily let one of the docs at work check me. Luckily after a day or two the soreness went away, so no need for anything else. I have a bad relationship with Karma, that bitch always screws me worse if I try to get over on anyone  And like I said, I'm lucky that I have a lawyer that won't break the bank to take the case. He'll make it right in the end, just may take a bit longer than it should :D
