    I was thinking about this the other day...how often do they recommend to rebuild rebuildable shocks? Is that pretty costly? Or would it be better to go with a non-rebuildable set and have to replace the shocks?

    Nope this is what I run on my taco, I used the soft riding struts from OME and the 888 spring. Gives a better then stock ride.

    haven't really considered a size on the tire yet i am running the stock wheels at the moment but i appreciate the advice on the OME lift might go with them if they are a better quality. do you know what tires i would be able to clear with a 2in OME lift?

    Icon recommends rebuild every 30k, King and Fox I think are every 50k. You could probably stretch the rebuild interval to get the most for your money. Of course if the shocks are leaking, rebuild. I have the ability to rebuild shocks at a very affordable price, and can also upgrade them as well.

    We can fit 35's under your truck, it's just a matter of how much trimming you feel like having done. 33" tires are popular with Tacomas because it requires minor modification beyond a lift. I would suggest getting the cab mount chop and plastic trimming out of the way right away so you don't have any issues with rubbing in the future. I've got 3 CMC's on Sunday, and that's the best way to clear the larger tires with lift and UCA's. A proper alignment helps there as well.

    @Texoma How is the 6/2 lake event shaping up? Any extra space for some Tundra folks? I haven't posted any details, but know they were looking around for a lake event... If you're already full, or only can put up with one Tundy at a time, no worries...

    I can vouch for the OME suspension. Its what I went with and had @Texoma install it. I'm on 885 coils up front, their 90021 Soft Ride Strut & Light Racing UCA's. Out back i'm on OME Dakar Leaf springs and OME shocks. This gave me around a 3" lift. I do have a mild rake since I didn't add an additional spacer to level out the front but when i'm loaded down with gear and a RTT it sits nearly level. Right after the lift I kept my stock 17" wheels and 265/70 tires. I have since then switched to a new wheels and tire (SCS 17x8.5" wrapped in K02's 275/75). This wheel and tire setup gave me a bit wider stance and only required plastic trimming.

    I would also highly recommend contacting Marie with @HeadStrong Off-Road . She provides amazing customer service and they also provide free shipping on your order. As far as cost on the suspension, I can provide you via PM the amount I spent on the suspension parts so you have an idea of how much you'll need to invest.

    Finally, once you do get your suspension and ready for install, @Texoma is the man to goto. He'll take care of your Tacoma. :thumbsup:
