So yeah Saturday while driving past the ford dealer I saw they had a blue raptor parked out front. This is the first time I had seen one in real life. So I just had to stop and take a look. Well the saleslady talked me into taking it for a spin! I gotta say it's a very nice truck:eek: thing is a beast it's very wide and sits up really high. Overall I like it, but $47,000??? I don't think I'll be trading my truck for it but if I had bookoo money then I'd probably buy one!

Still a FORD POS! Just cause it costs $47k doesn't make it a quality product.

EDIT: And no offense to the poster, I just fell there is too many threads on the Raptor, nothing wrong with posting in a existing thread.

Sorry guys I didn't realize there were alot of threads on this already? Searching kinda sucks on an iPhone! I just thought I would share my experience. I'm not comparing my truck to the ford. I personally like the raptor, it looks tough. But costs too much for me to buy one. I will say the tranny seemed pretty smooth to me. I didn't notice it to have alot of lag or anything?

and, if i recall, the tacoma has a higher horsepower to weight ratio than the raptor :)

    Tallyman89:

Having owned several Fords (or been stuck with them as company vehicles) I can only say that my experience and my hard earned dollar would never go to purchasing a FORD in the future. Transmission issues alone would prevent me from considering the blue oval. You are correct as all manufacturers and models have issues from time to time. However, none of our Tacomas (no matter the extent of upgrades) cost $47k but I'll put my $30,000 truck against a Ford in the long run anyday.
