I've been seeing a handful of pretty modded tacos recently. Some 3rd and some 2ng gen. Don't have any pictures though.

Spotted I clark. Anyone here. I usually peek at all tacos, but what caught my attention is the fact that it had the same wheels as mine

 

What type of brake pads should I be using gotta do a rotor and brake replacement?

 

i have my set of oem removed at less than 6000 miles if u interested let me know

 

I still can't figure out what's sqeaking iny front end if Hubs go bad do they make sounds like that?

 

Anyone know the best way to troubleshoot an ARB compressor? Switch lights up with dash lights, but I flip it on and the compressor symbol does not light up and compressor won’t kick on.
Replaced the pressure switch and still nothing.

 

I honestly don't know how they work. The compressor turns on when you hit the switch I'm assuming? Start from the beginning. Just because the switch lights up, doesn't mean that power is getting to the ARB. The switch itself could be bad. Take a meter and probe the switch when it's on. Or if it's easier, take a meter reading at the compressor when the switch is on.

Again, not sure about these on board air things. My experience with compressors come from ones for my framing nailers. Sometimes when the tanks need an air recharge and the motor kicks on, the motor would stall and eventually trip a breaker because something was "stuck" and pulled a ton of current. Doesn't sound like your case though. I would have to turn it off, release some air from the tanks, and then recharge it again. It happened more on colder days in the houses.

Relay?

 

Probably a corroded relay, pull the relay, and touch (or jumper) terminal position wires 87 and 30 temporarily and see if the switch can then activate the compressor.

 

Like @Fifthwind said, check power in and out on the relay with your meter. Check the signal wire to the relay that opens or closes it.

 

My inner fender well has little cracks from the battery weight that makes squeaky noises. Never had UCA bushing noise, so not sure what that sounds like.

 

I hate electrical issues.
Pulled the whole thing out & cleaned it all up.
Going to see if I can get a new relay & try that.

 

Ok, so I’ve pulled and cleaned everything. New pressure switch, new relay, checked every connection.

Test light says it’s getting power but will not switch on.



I have no fucking clue what the deal is. It worked when I got it back from the frame swap.

 

Did the ground come loose?

 

Checked that too.

 

I have had an arb pump sieze internally...the piston skirt failed and allowed the internals to come in contact with the cylinder walls. If you are getting power, but no dice, perhaps it’s time to rebuild it? There are schematics online that will help you, and arb sells each part individually.
