Here's another cool pic I took not in Moab but on the way in Idaho. I love that view!

My wife still has her college road bike (35 years old) with 27" wheels. I had to get tires at Walmart - but they were more like $35 a pair.

I admire you guys who pedal. I am too old for such strenuous exercise....LOL I use my Tacoma to haul this thoroughbred out to the high desert. Too many hills and too much sand for bicycles.

Assuming quiet here, means getting rowdy out there.

Best time is around October right before the new year models are coming out. Shops have a lot of incentive to sell bikes at this time, even if it is ordering it and selling to you at cost, because the more inventory they move the larger allotment they receive from the first shipment of new model bikes that will be coming out in the following months. Also, around the beginning of the year you can usually find previous year bikes at drastically reduced cost, but at this point your inventory selection is limited to what is left in stock.

@Gunshot-6A so you end up taking up @honda50r on the offer to come to Knox? The race at windrock this weekend will be rad.

I gotta message him. I really wanted to, but I got swayed into going to see my parents for Mother's day in NOVA.

I am definitely going to find a reason to visit Windrock very soon though. I gotta go back east again for work in July. Might have to make a detour on the way home...

I never heard of Windrock until yesterday, when I watched Seth's Bike Hacks' YouTube video about 4 wheeling there, from a MTB-er's perspective. His first exposure to 4 wheeling ... pretty interesting (all Jeep though). By the way, he had another video showing how he built out the bed of his Ridgeline with SoftTopper. The Ridgeline is a little wider than a 5' Taco bed, but it should still work for us, with a unique config, really nicely done if you camp solo and can sleep diagonally in the bed.

Pretty new to TW and owning a Taco but I keep seeing this thread and wanted to see if anyone is in SoCal area? Here is my rig when I bought her a few years ago. Has a few more scratches now hahap5pb10909699.jpg

That Comanche was pretty wicked! The ridgeline build would have been pretty sweet for a few outings I had before I went full O-Word...

I think I got a pretty good race camp setup now (the rack has a bike stand attachment on it):
