    Anyone use, know or whatever about that “personal vehicle” rental called Turo?

    Friends want to take come camping with us, husband has a work F150, but that thing would scrape even on the mainroad.

    Thinking about renting a Jeep, but just trying to help them find a better deal.

    Haha. Ok. I can’t reply in that thread cause I have a bias. I was a machinist 25 years ago. That’s what I use to do was bore and hone, resurface heads and blocks, recon rods and valve jobs. Extremely precise work, not necessarily something you wanna find the cheapest place to do. Kinda like tattooing.

    I got a 2TR off craigslist for $100, thought I'd rebuild it with forged rods/pistons for a turbo. I'm upgrading to stainless valves- was considering hardened seats until I was told that labor cost. I might need to ship that thing off
