Nice. I bet that would help with the glare I sometimes get on my superwhite sport when the sun hits the hood just right.

It came out a lot better than I had imagined. Prior to, I was thinking if I didn’t like it I would just remove it. However, I really like it. I’m not sure on the glare that people speak of. I didn’t have a glare off of mine. Is it the shine from the top of the hood that people don’t like? I personally love seeing the shine. A lot of people say it helps tho

yeah it's the shine from the top of the hood. It get's me right in the eyes when facing the sun in the morning or evening when the sun is still low in the sky.

It does look good, probably can hold a rack and a lot of hardware on top, too. One suggestion, put some bed stiffeners on it- I was suprised how out of square my tailgate was when I was parking on a side slope with just my ARE shell and no overhead gear on it. It flexed back, but it was surprising how far out it went.

Toyota does that - those Canards need electric block heaters, its a great white north thing.

I didnt really have the choice in my town- but it has less bends than OEM, and now I wont bang it on rocks anymore- my OEM one took two hits on a road I used to drive a lot with my stock 1st Gen with no trouble, so I said thats it and ordered full Mobtown skids and am putting them on this weekend. Total cost is still cheaper than replacing a cracked exhaust head.

All good, I appreciate the compliment. I love the new topper and should work perfectly for my set-up. Over the years I have had several different builds and I think going back to basics and simplicity will work best..............

They're pricey for sure, but there's definitely something cool about being one of the few running around in cav blue. I actually feel the same about Quicksand, there aren't a lot of QS tacomas where I live and I see heads turning when I'm driving around. Saw a QS 4Runner today (a pro I think) and my wife said that's what she wants next. Which basically means I get to have both at some point

Great job on applying the graphics! How difficult was it? I had @CBoy808 design a really sweet set of graphics for my bed, he does very nice work. I've been a little hesitant on doing the installation. Worried about dust, air bubbles and not getting it symmetrical as far as location goes. I'm pretty fussy when doing things and a little worried about messing it up.
@CBoy808 had a huge amount of patience with me during the the design stage, I'm not the easiest person to please when having or getting something done. My wife calls it the "machinists curse!"
Looks good Katie, nice job by both of you.:thumbsup:

I don't mind it or the other "little" chromed accents, it's that dang chrome bumper that makes me gag! I added a stainless steel Ducks Unlimited duck head opposite the V6 for symmetry and like the look.
Don't get me wrong I like the debadged/blacked out look as well.
Guess I just need a 2nd Taco to have the best of both worlds. Mama's in need of a new ride so maybe...........
