Hit a pretty tough trail today...got a clicking sound coming from the front end when turning in 4x4, thinking it's my CV(s)...? Doesn't make the noise in 2wd.

Damn...got OEM ones in there still but one of them is a used one I got off a member with relatively unknown history. Guessing its that one.

I carry a Napa one with me but I'll probably swap it in before the next trail so I'm not forced to do it on the trail.

Doesn't mean it is dead, just that it is dying, mine has made it through a couple years of wheeling and is still going.

I think I was under my truck botching a weld for at least one. Although from the photo it looks like he ran me over and is making sure I'm not coming back haha

You were re-booty-fabbing your exhaust. That's deserving of an honorable mention.

Last night I took of the rear OEM bumper and took measurements for the rear bumper I am welding up. I took the plastic off the addicted front bumper i purchased 2 years ago and propped it in place to take more measurements. (I was not allowed to work on this until i took my comprehensive exams and finished all writing for my PhD, thus the delay)
I also made coffee for my fellow redneck neighbors as we debated using the proper location for the winch or using a receiver hitch system.

    This morning I ordered:
    2 http://www.trail-gear.com/product/4862/rear-bumper-support-kit-1984-1989-4runner
    3 http://www.trail-gear.com/product/4628/chromoly-interlocking-tube-clamps
    and
a bunch of dirt cheap 2x2" receiver hitch adapters that I plan to cut apart and weld to the rear and front bumpers to attach crap. I was unable to find swing out hinges/bushings that I liked.

Now, i am giving the truck a bath/shower with my son inside the canvas topper reporting where any leaks are forming.

Problem is the water table here is so high due to the fact that it’s Marshland it’ll fill up with water in less than an hour. It’s all clay and rock too.

Had a blast guys. Rear end was a bit jumpy on the way home, but man, the truck cab sure accelerates fast now - hahahaha!
