    I came really close to buying an ak today. It had a magpul sidefolder, extendable stock and m-lock forearm grip. Shit felt so nice cradled in my arms! But you've gotta keep your goals in site! I really want an m1a chambered in 6.5 creedmore so buying an ak would have set me back quite a bit.

    Yes, and I'm down but my tires are on life support. I'm basically waiting on taxes before I can do any real wheeling, or even take it on the highway for that matter. Sucks but kids is expensive and I'm too shortsighted to save money for tires ahead of time. Lol

    That's what Im saying. I've always loved the m1a. Growing up it was always one of my favorite rifles that my dad had. Its actually the reason that i have an unhealthy affection for ghost ring sights. And I wanted a 6.5 so when Springfield started producing m1a's chambered in 6.5 it was like the sweetest twofer ever. I just have to come up with about 2 grand for the rifle and a case of ammo. But having a semi-auto rifle that can legit do 1000 yards and beyond... well, the boners would never stop for me at that point.

    Save your pennies! I've always wanted to be able to really reach out like that! Maybe someday. I'd really like to do a .308 lapua build someday, but that's kind of a pipe dream

    Me too. I recently found a company that is producing a .338 lapua on an ar platform. It's fucking beautiful. But mspr is $5500 so you gotta figure over 7 grand to get the rifle, put glass on it and get some ammo. Basically, at that point, its a rifle that I don't really have a legitimate use for, or the mini-pontoon boat I wanna get for me and my family. Pontoon boat wins that fight.
