When is the world going to finally hold China to stricter inspections? Answer: as long as China keeps producing under slave wages at the hand of mega-greedy CEO's, isnt one innocent little baby's death due to sloppy underhanded manufacturing standards too much?? Thousands of babies with frikkin KIDNEY FAILURE??? all those animals that died? all the toys with lead? all that candy with metal fragments and staples found in it? What's really going on here? IMO, greed+no standards+no impartial inspection team=disaster! Try to find SOMETHING in your house that IS NOT made in China-you will find it difficult!

Hehe i've always found odd, that everybody is looking at the middle east when the real threat/problem is in far east.... their economy is growing stronger and no one wants to mess with China or Norcorea, they do have Weapons of mass destruction, they do have slaves, no democracy.... etc

I thought this country WAS a product of China. It is a shame that we don't make anything here anymore.

I do try to buy products made in America. Canada, U.S. and Mexico but a good example is Home Depot. I needed a new Gas Trimmer so off I went to the Depot. Every trimmer I looked at was made in China. From the least expensive to Mid-range prices. I didn't see any trimmer made in America. American made is usually more expensive and I don't mind paying a little more but I'm not gonna pay $350.00 for one.
It is a terrible thing that these products from China are so defective. And once somebody dies from it the Government should step in.

yep same here, I'm so ashamed of saying this, but this is "country's month" we celebrate a lot of dates in September, there are guys on the streets selling flags and stuff, most of them are being fabricated in China  they are cheaper but a lot less quality

Ed that is pretty funny, not in the ha ha sense. We used to bitch about stuff made in Mexico, now we bitch about stuff made in China, and now it is apparently too expensive to make stuff in Mexico and you guys have made in China stuff, too.

You are preaching to the choir. :) I am taking a load of scrap copper to the scrap metal place on friday, the last time I went I had a little over 400lbs of #1, #2 and brass, ended up with 1400.00

We've done some jobs recently in stainless steel because copper was more expensive than the stainless.

Last week, I was taking my trash out, and as I was walking past the wall in front of my house, I heard "oh shit....". I peaked over the wall and saw some ass hat stealing the back flow preventer for the landscape irigation to my condos! As I was watching him, I was trying not to laugh, he cut the pipe off, water shot 15' in the air. I took a pic of him and his truck with my phone, and then called police. He threw the stuff in his truck, and sped away. When the police arived, they began asking me the usuall questions, what did he look like, what was he driveing, etc.. One cop asked if I had any other info, and I said "yeah, I have a picture". The 2 cops looked at each other, then to me and I pulled out my phone and showed them. They started laughing, and one dude said "I'll be right back", and the other cop told me that "was awsome!" I cant post a pic, as I gave them my SD card with the pic on it before I could send it to my album, but when I get it back, I'll post it. :D
