I would get a full size except it won’t fit in my garage.

Anyone think I should reflash 1.04 91?

 

Same for me too. Weird thing about 1.03 is that none of that happened within the first couple weeks. I hope 1.04 won't be the same way where it'll start something funny after a couple weeks. So far, it's buttery smooth all around!

 

Both my 16 auto and 17 manual have done it.

 

Hey Guys just got around to trying to install my OV tune but I need help I cant seem to get my dongle license number the box is just blank I followed the instructions but cant figure it out any help would be greatly appreciated thanks in advance.

Seriously guys. I went straight to Mat with my “dongle not recognized” problem and it’s because he has to do, what I would call, a “pre-registration”. It’s an extra step to set up your dongle. Basically you have to get your dongle setup to register to be able to register it. If that makes sense, that’s how I think of it. But instead of trying to figure it out myself and wasting time I emailed him and he was like “oh here you go”.

 

What if he responds with “oh no you dont” and sends you a blank attachment

 

This 1.04 tune keeps getting better and better! Just went on a 4 day trip to the Toyota Jamboree that had about 500+ miles of pavement, and 4 days of wheeling at Barnwell Mountain Rec Area and I averaged 15.6MPG for the whole trip (road and wheeling). The wheeling averaged above 10 and the road portions with me in the lead of the convoy, this is the great part, was 17.5 mpgs. This is with steel bumpers, skids, sliders, bed rack, rtt and all camp gear. I saw it go up to 18 and 19 when i was not in the lead as well

I was extremely impressed on the trails. I was in 4-Lo, aired down to 20 (C rated ko2's 265/70/17), in S-2 or 1 mostly, and with ETC on here and there. It was a muddy and sloppy first 2 days and dry and dusty the last 2. We ran a lot of trails and the truck performed incredible. Much of the time, i had to use minimal throttle and when i needed the power, it was there in buckets.

Please tell us you will have more kits ready before you leave!! I've been waiting to drain my $$ on this mod.

 

Agree, 1.04 is pretty spectacular... I'd really like to see Mat do some real thorough MPG testing b/c no doubt this would lead more folks to the tune alone. I did a 55 mile round-trip yesterday, about 10 miles side-roads/red lights, and 45 miles of 75-80 mph interstate with a lot of slow-down and then gunning it to pass semis and whatnot. That kind of driving always led to 16ish MPGs. That trip I got 22 MPGs. I know some folks claim summer/winter blend impacts and that's true to a small extent but at best (summer gas and all) I'd get 18 on a trip like that.

At the very least it's offsetting the cost of 93 octane and it runs like a top!

A new version of pcmflash is available that will be updated with the new flash manager. I recommend everyone upgrade to this one, it has an installer package, microsoft keys, etc so no more anti-virus issues or windows defender blowing it up half way through a flash.
