    Yes! I love my solar. The highest peak I have personally observed so far is 3.9 amps, which is plenty enough to run a fridge.

    Thanks! This whole thing is going to be a learning experience for me. Hell im still trying to figure out batteries now. Just thought I’d tag you in as @MarX is interested in a similar setup to what you have installed. If your ever interested in getting out of the city for a while your welcome to ride out sometime

    We just got back from a trip to Charleston and we took the fridge for it's first trip. It secured nicely in the back seat and we used it in the hotel room. Everything worked perfect the whole time.

    Outlanders River Camp 2018
    Took the camper out for it's first run for the year! What a great weekend! A 50+ buddy from Delaware came down for the weekend to camp with us. It was just a short run over to Outlanders in Luray just over the mountain from home but wht a beautiful place. Maiden camping trip for the fridge and it worked flawlessly.

    had to strap it into the truck

    We met there Friday afternoon and setup, had a great dinner and a fire as it got cold at night aroung 30.

    Saturday was the big day as we decided to invite a couple more of our 50+ crew who were pretty local to where we were.

    me

    @PyritePirateBill

    @dewayne

    @Cypherian

    Then there was the food and the good times. @dewayne brought BBQ, coleslaw, baked beans, and some special sauces, Christie made mac n cheese, or as we teased her with it being cheese and mac as there was more cheese thane pasta we thought it was great.

    God knows none of us went hungry this weekend. It was a great time, with great people, great food, and great weather. The best weekend I've had in a long time. I believe this is what it's all about. Thanks everybody that came. A special thanks to my buddy @Cypherian it's a shame we live so far apart.

    You know he's your buddy when he keeps telling you your number one

    Auxillary Lighting:

    We discovered we'd like additional lighting at night as the little LED amber light that came with it just wasn't cutting it. The Tacoma donated it's floods with the amber Laminex films. I just jumped off the existing wires for the original light (which I did retain) and installed one in the middle of the rear angled down. I jumped the wires off it to the front right corner of the camper and mounted the other pod light to the cargo rack on the roof. The lights are small and unobtrusive I guess we'll see tonight what they look like.

    Front rt corner light:

    Rear light:

    No the wires will not be left loose I just didn't feel like driving to town for some more wire loom and I need to get some adhesive backed tie downs for the wires.

    I did order a set of Caliraised amber pod lights to replace these

    Mods are starting slowly as most of this stuff aint cheap. We just got the fridge as posted earlier. I just got in the fridge drawer slide. I'm still trying to figure out the dual battery set up and the solar but I'm trying to buy all the components that will go inside the storage box I'll have to build so I figure get all the stuff that goes in it then I can figure out just what dimensions I need to make it.

    I finally found the pieces I needed to secure the wires on the roof of the camper for the pod lights. I encased the wires with loom and secured with adhesive backed plastic pieces to the roof along with zip ties.

    USB Solutions:
    There never seems to be enough usb ports to charge all the things we need to. @Cypherian showed me this neat outlet option so I went to Lowes and got us one. It's a normal 120 AC outlet but it has 2 usb ports between the outlets. Granted, this will only be useable when we are in a campground or somewhere hooked up to AC power but still a handy little mod.

    John showed me when we were camping a couple of weeks ago. I'd never seen one before but it's pretty neat. We can only use it at the campgrounds unless we eventually get a generator but I'm good with that.
    It's gonna be a fun week, other than working, I ordered the "lock n roll" hitch with a 4" drop for the truck and the trailer side as well. I'll be stripping all the stuff off the tongue this week and opefully Friday get the steel I need on the way home.
    I'm going to start with cutting the coupler off and extending the tongue by 2' along with adding the new coupler. Then when i can start cutting steel and getting ready to build the storage box for the tongue to house the fridge. This is going to get fun!
    Have y'all taken the camper out any yet?

    Not this year yet. It just got warm enough a couple weeks ago to pull the cover off. Thanksgiving weekend has been our only outing so far. But we did do this...

    I’m going to try and get a couple of projects done. Needing a new roof is putting a damper on my project list but i’m Going to give it a go.

    I removed the cargo rack, tool box, and spare tire mount from the tongue and we moved it into the garage

    I removed the hitch so I can start with a clean slate. A little more prep to do before I begin.

    This should be a fun project I’ll take pics as I go
