3rd gen phone mount.

So I bought all of this stuff for my third gen and a couple weeks after ordering everything I got rid of the turd lol. Obviously I have no use for this anymore so here’s what I have. It will put the phone out about the same distance as the steering wheel which is right where I wanted it. Here’s what I’ve got.

I have the Hondo Garage unholy dash mount, ram ball, ram mount phone holder, the 4” carbon fiber connecting rod and I had to get additional fittings because the ones that came on it were the wrong size.

How long did you own your 3rd gen Tacoma? A couple of weeks?

 

Since July. And that was about 6 months too long...lol. All kidding aside it was very much a love hate experience. Excellent off road, but daily driving it was miserable. Pretty sad when my 8 cylinder rated at 485 hp from the factory averaged almost 10 mpg better at 75-80 mph than the truck ever did at 72 mph, struggling to drive into a headwind. I always figured I got one of the “good” ones. If I was driving into a headwind on the interstate, cruise set at 72 I’ve seen as bad as 11.5 mpg. Always blows my mind when people deem that acceptable out of a 1/4 truck with an engine that was “designed for efficiency”

 

I may end up going that route and sendi the other stuff back. If so you have dibs
