I do this too but only if I know I'm going to get moving again quickly. If you're waiting at a light though I've heard its not great on the clutch/pedal to keep it pressed for extended periods of time.

Manual cars actually use gas while in neutral so they dont cut off, if you leave it in gear till your just about to stop the engine doesn’t use full because the drive train is spinning it. So if you really care about your mpgs then do that. But if u dont car then just coast to a stop in neutral like a normal person

Agreed. Always shift to neutral when you're stopped at a light to prevent unnecessary wear on the throw-out bearing.

You're telling me your engine can run without using any fuel? Interesting. I am not very knowledgeable about engines, but it seems to me that it will use more fuel coasting in low gear as long as the RPMs are higher than your idle RPMs (about 680 for me). My assertion is based on the fact that combustion is still happening in the engine at all times. Higher RPMs = more fuel usage.

Yup. I'd rather replace the shifter seat bushing if it gets to be too big of a pain to move the shifter at a standstill than have to drop the transmission and clutch assembly to replace the TOB. Even though mine has been chirping like mad since it was practically new anyway...1st gen problems

I just couldn't justify spending the money for something as small as a Tacoma. I loved my taco and Tacomas are verry nice trucks. They are in such demand right now,and people are willing to pay. The tundra was allot cheaper with more room .

The tauna cover is for sale also

Today I changed my pcv valve and tubing... the boot fell in so I had to fish that out, but an easy task. Also planned on plugs and wires, but saw my battery terminal and figured I should fix that at the same time. So up on the to do list is plugs, wires, battery terminal, back window pins, and hook up this bushguard I got for 50 bucks!

Wired up my AFR gauge...ignore the zero on the gauge (camera phone doesn't catch the LED lights) and the gaff tape mounting job lol...not exactly sure where I want the gauge yet.

Only did a couple neighborhood pulls so far, seeing 14 - 14.7 at idle and cruising and as low as mid 12s when hitting ~5psi boost. Haven't gotten to see my lean pinging numbers yet, usually it's worst when entering the freeway or climbing a long freeway grade at speed. Still trying to learn how to decipher the numbers.

Found a 01 and up grille for $5 while looking for a new radiator for my 4Runner. I guess it’s time for a face lift.

    That. It's that.

I'm surprised no one has mentioned the Dodge RAM suspension yet.
