Yea dude it’s epic. The other thing I thought was sell the bedslide and get some truck vault Drawer with slider on the one side. They make em weather proof and lockable so I could keep everything packed away

I’ll try and twist the wife’s arm. But I’m going to have to pause the purchase till I get things squared away. Also would have to order prinsu for the cap

That’s a great point. A couple basic ass bars would do the trick just fine.

This is just a after thought but would the prinsu distribute and hold the weight better than two Thule bars?

Or any basic ass bars

Haha very valid. I’m not exactly sure..

    1. I’d say makes sense. And would have to add at minimum a positive weight distribution

    2. I’d say maybe not. All the weight regardless of spreading still comes down upon the 4 feet mounted to cap. In the link sent for $500, it comes with mounting tracks that means the cap (if factory installed) is reinforced and the weight upon the feet would be spread throughout the rack.

I don’t have reinforcement in the cap or even cross bar mounting tracks. I made my own feet and cross bars and bolted them through the cap. I really wanted aluminum cross bars and feet, before Zack sold Prinsu to CBI I was in contact with him working out the mounting feet he offers in aluminum.. He said the aluminum wasn’t acting right and cracking at the bends. That’s when I went my own route. But the plan I had was to order the feet and weld a 1”x2” square tube to the feet for a strong cross bar with boltable feet. This would work as well with the cap linked. Order than bolt the Prinsu feet in the tracks, lay tubing on and mark for welding locations. Could even finish off the mod with some plastic plug ends like I did to make it so fresh and so clean clean.
