I changed all my oil based fluids, manual trans, transfer case and rear diff. I checked the front diff but it was full and still looked like new from the last time I changed it.
I went with Royal Purple in the transmission and transfer case. I used Lucas last time and it was a big improvement over stock. Royal Purple is even better. I was going to go with Red Line but no one sells it locally. I just used Valvoline synthetic in the rear diff. Actually, the rear diff fluid was the only fluid that looked a little dirty. I also changed my oil, Penzoil Platinum.
Also, painted some stuff on the frame and the rear drums. What I can't reach with paint, I hose down with some cheap lubricating oil. Mines a 2014, so it's not that old but the frame still looks great.

One of these days, I need to touch up my sliders. We only had a couple of light snows this winter but they salted and cindered the hell out of the roads around here. You could hear the cinders hitting the sliders like they were being sand blasted.
I also want to do the rear diff breather mod. That will wait for another weekend.

Last week, we put a lift on my son's Jeep.

Try looking at horse stall mats - thick rubber stuff in 4x8 sheets - might suit your needs - $50 at TSC...

You know, like the 4 guys ahead of me said...:)

Took my 2006 TRD Sport Access Cab 4WD to the Dealership for a state inspection on Saturday. While it was on the lift, they did the frame inspection. Within an hour, they had gotten the go-ahead from Toyota to replace the frame. Major delaminations, and several thru-holes, some over an inch in diameter. Rusty AF.

Parts ordered and on the way. Looks like I’m getting a brand new frame this summer, and I’m stoked. Woohoo!!

Edits: Spelling errors because I’m so excited!

Drilled the cab wall and installed the grommet for the drivers side air bag line.

Then finally got around to drilling the bed drawer for the transfer bearings I bought several months ago. D1BC422F-D36E-4659-9F86-7480338B1272_zps_94c34d97540c3df83319264012e559965f2fd1cf.jpg

You can see the grey wear lines where the ply was rubbing the bed ribs. The two maple strips just key the drawer so it doesn't slide around and stop it from sliding right out of the bed when they hit the tail gate rib border. Just at the ends of those strips are rubber bumpers that soften the collision with the front of the bed when I haul it forward with the pulley.

Those are likely the Relentless Fab light brackets. I just got a set and installed them this weekend (lights arrive tomorrow) and they are a bit further in than I had pictured in my head, but the lights can be positioned however you want them. Want more light to the side? You can turn the pods out however far you want.

    • Finished installing my hood struts - very handy!
    • Updated the firmware on my head unit and iDataLink box
    • Attached a RAM mount next to the A-pillar
    • Ran a USB cable up to the front of the A-pillar to connect devices
    • Sanded and primed brackets for repairing rust damage on bed rack

Started clearancing for 33’s even though I don’t have my rear shocks, wheels or tires yet. I’m just getting antsy to lift her dammit! Ready to cut the cab mount and realized I didn’t have cut off wheels or black spray paint and rubberizer.

Fender flare trimmed. Wheel well liner trimmed. Pinch weld flattened. Cab mount marked for TC plates. I guess I’ll save the real work for another day. Dumbass.
