    Yes that's plenty.
Even if your shock was to short for a lift, wouldn't it just limit the amount of droop?

    Workin' on it....
Right but without an internal bump stop (which I actually thought the 5160's had?) my understanding is you don't want the shock acting as a limit strap....?

My understanding is that there are internal bump stops for droop, but then again I can't say I know much about all the options out there.

I'm gonna take a guess (and that's all it is at this point) that if your internal bumps / droop travel are within a certain tolerance you are golden, but if the spring and axle are really doing a number on them and pulling down hard looking for more droop travel you will have issues?

Didn't know it didn't have internal bump. What would limit the droop in a stock truck, the springs?

First off, what post got you fired up and what’s the background behind it? Generally when a response is “go fuck yourself and find your balls” we get notified and do a little clean up. If a post is deleted it’s usually indicative of it being out of line, inappropriate or against the TW CoC and we handle it at our discretion. It also includes how we notify or don’t notify someone of our actions. We’d like to think we don’t have to explain our actions at every turn.

Secondly, yes, we do watch posts because people are predictable...case in point.

Lastly, hate to point out the obvious but...saying the snowflakes and mods had their “feewings” hurt then posting this is a bit ironic.

Now, what post was it that got you “enflamed”?

    Nice! Looking awesome!

Didn't do much today other than take my airbox apart for measurements. Kinda want to get a custom connector pipe fabricated but I have no idea where I would get a very specifically dimensioned aluminum tube made.

Fun fact, 4 bangers have a bizarrely big elbow-snorkel thing stuffed inside their fender vs the V6 trucks which just have a little scoop.

Any of you guys know how the ramps at lake pleasant work? I know there is a park fee but ive never launched a boat there. Is there someone at a gate that you give money to? And will they be there at 5 or 6 am to get on the water at sun up? I have only been there once and it was on someone else's boat.

Pay at the gate. County or private side, there’s a booth to pay for a vehicle and water craft

Is someone in it? Or does it just have a drop box?

RV it, but finding something you can all sleep in will be tough. Most are made for 4 people max, but you can make it work. Maybe a tent for the extra people for sleeping. Not having to stop to stretch your legs or go to the bathroom is worth it.

SF and Seattle both have amazing public trans systems. You can easily get around without a car. Any where else, were you want to drive a distance to see something, rent a van for a day.

Depends on which ramp/gate you are using. The main county gate is manned every day for most of the day. That's the big ramp. If you go North to the smaller ramp, that one is open business hours most days. But does have a drop box to pay.

A minivan would be hell for seven people. Adults would be cramped and kids would be restless and up to antics. I'd definitely say get an RV.

Bring a tent or two to spread people out of the vehicle come sleeping time.
