Taco Lean

Anybody knows how to fix the rear taco lean?
Fronts: I heard you need to add 1/4" spacer to the left side.
Rear: I have almost 1" lean.

Will AAL help to being the driver side up?
How about sumosprings?
Will it stiffen the ride with the sumosprings?

 

Shims. Maybe a the bed is a little torqued? Got any pics?

 

What are the pics for? Did you just install this kit? Looks like the pro kit that was on sale from the 2nd gens. If so one of the shocks is specifically for the driver side and should help with the lean.

 

I don't have any pictures but I measured it.
Dealers did Not do anything they said the springs are settling in because they are too new...

I am just trying to get ideas how other tacoma owners fix their lean.

 

That’s a possibility. I have seen the lean! Do you off-road? Did you say it was a 1” difference?

 

Yes almost 1" difference.
My truck is 7months old and prepping my truck for offroad vehicle.
After installing my pro suspension I will install rock sliders next...

By any chance does your pro has a driver side lean?

 

The different perch positions are supposed to help with the lean. A lot of guys who installed it eliminated the lean but I was unfortunately not the case and installed a spacer to compensate.

A AAL will not fix any frontal lean and if you have a rear lean then it will accentuate it in the rear.

 

I have 1/4" front driver lean.
My driver rear is more an issue to me almost an inch.

 

Ive always noticed the Tacoma's leaning a bit. Yesterday I was behind a new Dodge ram. It was leaning like a 70s Cadillac. When I got next to the driver, I was expecting him to be 400+ lbs. He was just a skinny little guy.

 

Fat ass chick in passenger seat. Boom! Done. Winning.

 

I have the same kit with the HS AAL, I added the 1/4” HS spacer on the drivers side. That fixed my slight Taco lean.
A 1” lean seems like a lot

 

Are you meaning you are worried about having a "Bro or Cali Lean" after you install this kit? The kit comes with different perch positions to help counter the taco lean.

I have this same kit with the Headstrong AAL in the rear. Left my overload in with the AAL and still have a factory look to my rake (I did not take pre-instal measurements).

Not to sound like an ass but double check everything is installed correctly (bushings bearings bolts are aligned) Trucks without adjustable coilovers need a driver's side spacer in the front.

Is your front end level or less than 1"?

 

I just had my TRD Pro tuned installed today with 1/4" spacer on left and right front.
It somewhat fixed the lean for now...
Hoping when it settled it won't lean like before.
Here are my measurements:
FD: 37 3/4". FP:38"
RD: 38" RP: 38 1/4"

Hoping to settle 1/4-1/2" at the front.

 

I’m about to install the same lift, with a Wheelers 3-leaf AAL. I’ve got an interesting pre-lift lean scanario. Driver front and passenger rear are low. Measurements are ground to fender on level ground.

DF = 34.5
PF = 35.0
DR = 35.75
PR = 35.5

I’m mostly level with the stock suspension since I currently have a shell with Prinsu rack and Thule T2 hitch bike rack on. If I pull the bike rack I gain .25” to 0.50” in the back. Passenger rear likely lower due to awning on that passenger side on the Prinsu. My question is should I add the additional 1/4” spacer to driver front based on the current 0.50” lean or will the Bilstein Pro’s with the offset perch handle it? Not worried about the rear, the new AAL should bump it up.
