thinking of buying a 94 4runner

    i have found a pretty sweet deal its a 94 4runner v6 with a five speed leather all power for $500 but it needs a motor does anyone have or know where i can get one cheap...

    1991 toyota 4x4 sr5-lost but not forgotten
    4" lift after market front bumper bed mount lightbar/roll bar (4)6" kc's on the roll bar (2) kc flat back bumper mounts f/r gears for the 33's

    They arent cheap. Does it have the 3.0 or the 3.4? I imagine you have the 3.0. Not a cheap engine.

    check the local salvage yards. i get a lot of my car parts from the salvage yards. as long as its complete and they have it stored somewhere where it doesnt get wet you should be ok.

    The 3.0's are not cheap, a few years back I bought one from a salvage yard for a 95 4runner, it was very hard to find & I paid $1250 for it with just under 100k miles on it. A quality reman motor will cost you just north of $2000. If you can install it yourself to avoid paying labor, it might still be worth the money as long as the rest of the 4runner is in really good shape.

    id look away and look for a 4cyn or a 3.4L ive seen too many 3.0's that were just junk

    It's been done a bunch of times. You can find info on Yotatech. Yea you would have to swap the wiring harness & computer.
