There's one other that popped up for a sec a couple months back, but you need to go to them. OV is the only remote tuning option that I know of

But we have already bought the tune so we really do have no other choice but to wait.

At least I have the tune, albeit not technically the finished tune, for the money I paid.

I backed a Kickstarter project for $175 over 2.5 years ago, and I'm still waiting on that product.

I'm used to waiting. :frusty: :turtleride:

Nope, not that one. It's The Lampster.

I also lost a whole $9.00 on those damn ZNAPS, which turned out to be a scam from the get go. Those bastards
walked away with a lot of money, and not a single backer received their ZNAP.

I used to back a ton of projects on kickstarter but lately it seems to be a lot of things that don’t get completed or there’s constant delays and ZERO communication. Some of those I’m lucky to hear something every 3-6 months…

A bit of exaggeration(on all your posts)? Rarely if ever do I take weeks to respond or reply to someone via email. Normally it is 2-3 days or less, UNLESS the response is something that has been said or posted 100+ times.
Not to mention this tune has been in the works for over a year, with multiple revisions, this is not the first tune, nor the last.

I'm glad you feel this tune is so mediocre, go find ANYONE else that has put the level of development, testing and sleepless nights into it to figure out one of the most complex calibrations on the freaking planet.

Most people here are not aware of why I missed the deadline for the MT update or why I changed the way I am doing testing but it is for a good reason.

I am one person, I am not a huge shop with an unlimited budget and multiple people available to respond to emails all day. I also have customers all around the planet, this is not my only platform.

Not entirely true. Release for auto has almost always been first because I have an auto to test with. All the logs from the manuals helped me with one thing, which I noted, but it didn't create the auto tune. The ECU's aren't even close to the same.

This is what makes new customers very delicate and at times difficult. They jump into development late and completely disregard ALL previous development and think the current status is the only status.

This has been in the works for over a year with multiple points of development and progress, and guess what FREE at that. Find me another tuner that does that. Find me another shop that you can walk into and ask for free updates to your tune 6 months, 1 year later.

Yes deadlines get missed, yes I have broken promises on when things will release. You work on it for 2 weeks and something changes as the last moment out of your control. It's even more difficult with the MT because I don't have a MT truck. I don't like to keep you guys waiting, and I truly enjoy working on this platform. The problem is that other platforms that I have worked on way before this one cannot be completely ignored either, and issues arise with them that sometimes needs my immediate attention.

Like for example when I flew out to HK to tune some race cars, had to enter into china and had no idea china blocks and censors internet very, very heavily. I couldn't reply to people and things exploded as a result. There is a reason to it, and it's not done to hurt anyone (delays).

@OVTune you're giving the squeaky wheel too much grease. not everyone misunderstands or is so unhappy with this situation. speaking for those of us who love what we have and support further development, please do not be discouraged. seems to me the MT crowd over here basically loves you to death buddy.

What's interesting is that the person had a MT truck, tuned it, got rid of it, got an auto, tuned it, and has gone in nearly every thread to just stir up stuff. I could be wrong but I can't find a conversation anywhere where he bought two kits or license for two trucks.

So as far as I can tell he has an unlicensed AT tuned truck and complaining about that too. Again I could be wrong but I'm failing to find a conversation about his AT.

I'll take a second, thorough look but it may be necessary to void the license on the dongle now.

it's all clear to see, but don't worry about it. we may banter endlessly over here, but that's cus we love what you've been able to provide us, and we all have top value for just like in the beginning when it started with the MT tune... and we're still excited about every iteration. but you have enough experience to know how this was going to play out. lol.

Do you mind PMing me or emailing me where you got a license or kit for a AT truck?

Seriously? I returned the orignal truck back to stock. If the dongle follows the truck and not the owner that is messed up as long as the each vehicle is returned to stock. I am not the only one who has done this as i have read others have returned their vehicle to stock and purchased a new tacoma and tuned it without having to spend another $800.

Deadlines missed or not, communication is key no matter what. Don't quote deadlines and then not meet them and then not communicate why. Read through this thread of folks just waiting and waiting with no idea and no communication. That is poor customer experience. It's not hard to see that you're online on this board but quiet when a simple post saying 'Hey, found a bug, delaying release.' is all that people need. Reassurance they as paying customers are not being ignored.

Yes, you have gone weeks without replying to emails or simply not replied at all. These are facts.

If you are going to void my dongle I will expect a full refund and I will mail the kit back to you. I am NOT using the kit inappropriately and am NOT tuning multiple trucks. If that is something you cannot track that is not my fault as a customer.
