TRD/ Magnuson 4.0 Supercharger Tips, Tricks, and Mods

Awesome thank you! I those are the ones I looked up I believe. I will have to see what my cost is on them. For all the work I do to my truck, very rarely do I get to take advantage of buying OEM parts at a discount. Other than filters really. And if anyone else is interested, I can see what I could sell them to you all for. It is sometimes very hard to compete with some of the large online dealerships though. But I am willing and able to try.

Thank you. I am an automatic. And yes, I didn't realize the throttle body upgrade was that simple until I started in on the radiator thread where it kinda got derailed. So, Ucon EMS, radiator, and throttle body is all I need to do. Lol.

 

I will say that my URD adaptor did have to be angled a bit. I stopped and looked my order up just to be certain I had gotten the right one. Anyone else have that? Seems to work just fine. I got my TB from a TW member that works for a junk yard. 2017 4-Runner TB with 7 (seven) miles on it.

 

Both adapters require a slight rotation due to the different bolt pattern between the stock tb and the larger ones.

 

Is there a difference between the 4.7L and 5.7L Tundra throttle bodies? I found 3 of each at the local salvage yard and the 4.7L ones they only want $40-$55 for but the 5.7L ones they want $185-$275 for.

 

5.7 tundra is what you want.

 

I paid 180.00 for mine. A new one will show why the salvage yards ask those prices.

 

OK, wanted to ask since the URD site says that either can be used. Can be used and WANT to use are different.

 

I would go by urd's word.

 

I have the 4.7L.

 

So is there a difference between them? I am guessing not. Both are obviously 76mm. Anyone need one, they have 3 of each. LOL

Is the TB the most restrictive part of the intake? I thought it it was the supercharger inlet area?

 

@mach1man001 helped me get my 70mm TB. Did I mention it had 7 miles on it?! A pm, some phone calls, it came to my door. He can get them from almost anywhere in the country.

 

Sweet deal man. 7 miles? Sounds like a test drive gone wrong!

 

Good. I didn’t screw up. Makes a little different sound. I think it pulls better.

These aftermarket coolant thanks aren't much over the stock plastic one. 142.00 on Amazon.
