I mark it with a sharpie, as well as two tires. Soon as I get my truck I can look at the tires and pop the hood and look at the filter to see if it's new.

I bet "lifetime" means up to 125,000 miles or 10 years whichever comes first. That's what a lot of these "lifetime" warranties amount to. 125,000 sounds like a lot but that's just getting broken in for a Tacoma.

This is basic man stuff one o’ one.

Why take the chance of someone else working on your baby, treating it as just another number, possibly screwing something up, because they just don't care?

Just do the reset / change oil / rotate tires yourself. Pat yourself on the back. Have a cold one.

The negatives of taking it in, outweight the positives, IMO.

To be honest I feel like it is too, but I’ve had warranty claims with other cars. Some didn’t care, others were sticklers about the service history. Granted this isn’t much but I guess as other have said, it’s free... and they have doughnuts lol.

You spent $30,000+ on the truck, but can't spend a couple of hours to service it and maintain the warranty???

    That makes sense.

its worth the tire rotation and oil change for an hour of your time, you really want to crawl under the truck and do a oil change and tire rotation in the driveway when u don't have too?

I spent +$30k and they didn't change the cabin air filter....

5k gets you tire rotation and fluids only.

Oil would be a gift as it's not a 5k service.

is there a fairly comprehensive list of aftermarket mods that can potentially void your toyotacare warranty? Grant it, the standard warranty is just for 25K or 2 years anyways (4 tire rotations, 2 oil/filter changes, and topping off fluids).

ie, adding cold air intake or pedal commander, etc. lifts?
