I couldn’t imagine something so red and bright sitting in the engine bay so I tore it all apart and repainted it when I upgraded the guts

So... I don't ride my road bike any more because drivers are just getting too damn dangerous due to distraction and ignorance. Try to keep these things in mind before you go off on a roadie though.

1. Bicycles in travel lanes of a roadway are subject to all the same traffic laws as a motor vehicle.
2. Bike paths are nice for recreational rides, but don't always go where the cyclist wants/needs to go. The average roadie is travelling a lot faster than is generally going to be safe for a crowded bike path anyway.
3. Most places it's illegal for adults to be riding their bikes on the sidewalk.
4. Bikes have just as much a legal right to the entire lane if they need to use it:
   1. If we have to make a left turn, we'll get right in the middle of the left lane to do it and filter to the front of the line. As long as you're driving in a normal manner and not making a race out of it, we can make it through the intersection from a dead stop faster than you.
   2. If the shoulder is in such bad repair/full of debris/not there, that it's unsafe for us to be there, we'll move into the travel lane and do our best to keep right as much as possible but it's also obligatory for vehicular drivers to give us 3' of space to either side in most places.

Yep, there are plenty of DBs on 2 wheels & 4 wheels. Roadways are for 4 wheels. 2 wheels in the roadway are accident waiting to happen no matter how the rider is riding and no matter how drivers are driving.

 

Neither thing has anything to do with the other but yeah, cyberworld would be much safer place for people to ride in the road.

 

I agree, They blend into traffic real good. They also make NO noise like a Motorcycle.

 

That's why you get i9 hubs. Sound like a hive of angry ass bees is chasing you everywhere.
