If i'm unsure about installation and don't have the instructions, I either find the instructions or screw up the install and blame myself down the road.

You should blame your IP. Since it's their fault for providing you internet that included such non-sense.

That is the crux of it. Been there done that, but I didn't have a purdy little Taco to do it on when scraping by at school.

It comes with the utopia of school life and is a painful lesson that is learned by living in the real world away from that protected society. The lesson is that suitability of modifications (approved or not) are the responsibility of the integrator. There are plenty of genuine Toyota parts that CAN be installed that will NOT play well.

Until the OP gets down the road a long way, it won't be understood no matter what is posted, from experience, in this thread.

IT SHIPPED WITH IT ALREADY INSTALLED. This is not the vendor's fault.

Usually the “buyer beware” threads actually have issues. This seems like user error who is playing the blame game.

Makes me want to buy a knob and see how it fits.

It's simple and popular and you are the only person to have this issue. Has anyone else used your ceramicoat guy?

We really need a sarcasm font on the internet. It doesn't always translate and folks see some comments as an invitation for open season on a guy that's already having a bad day.
