If the core got galled onto the shifter shaft, why would you try to fit the knob on-top of the stuck core? Even if you did, the knob shouldn't have gotten stuck to the core unless you put a lot of torque on the knob and bottomed out the knob unto the core. The threads on the knob from your cut photos doesn't looked galled, it must have been bottomed out.

I know I would try to do that a last ditch effort to get the knob aligned to the core, tighten it more!

Why can’t you just post a pic of the interior threads that mate to the OEM shift pole? Threw the knob away?

Do we know whether the product was shipped properly, with instructions to the cerakoter and then the cerakoter tossed all the packaging and instructions and then shipped it in his own packaging to the purchaser?

So he's coated this brand's shift knobs before?

Different products have different tolerances so you need an apples-to-apples comparison. Coating the exterior of a gun barrel is far different than coating a machined threaded piece made from a different metal.

I saw where he asked you if it was shipped without, not where he admitting to shipping without. However, you wouldnt know whether it was shipped with or without, because you requested it be sent to your cerakoter.

In all seriousness though; Why did you have to make a thread about this, why couldn't you settle this with the vendor(s) or just take the loss? Now everyone just thinks your mad.

The only other thing that makes me scratch my head. Was it absolutely necessary to cut the damn thing in half to get it off? Looks like a pretty precise job if you ask me.
