Hoping my unused storage spot there turns out looking as good as yours when I pack it full of light switches.

I’m sure it will bud...it’s a great feeling making these trucks into your own original build

    Thanks.

Got my schedule lined up for the week.......appears that this Thursday morning I'll be doing my LED light installations.

Wife wants to go out later that night for date night.......I'll have to alter the plans somewhat and let her know that I'l be driving......(secretly planning on a detour to hit a mud puddle-ridden trail after dark and see how the lights work out at night.....before we hit our date spots).

    Fun times ahead.

Damn, I'm enjoying this truck way more than any other I've had.

Had ARB front locker installed today. Looking forward to saying "sure it does" when the inevitable "but it doesn't have a front locker" remark comes along...

Hurricane Harvey totaled my 2016 TRD OR. Just had less than an inch of clean water on the floorboards.
So I ordered a 2017 TRD OR. It was already being assembled in Tijuana so Dean Mahalati of Tacoma West, Columbus, Ohio, who is a Toyota Truck Master, got it for me. Waited 5 weeks before it was assembled and shipped, flew up to Columbus to pick it up.
I kept the 2016 in my driveway and didn’t have the insurance company pick it up until I had the 2017.....they were overwhelmed since Houston had over 1 million vehicles totaled, so no problem.
I asked my insurance guy about pulling mods off.....he said I could.....the only thing he told me was if I had premium wheels, I did FN TRD wheels, like as in alloy wheels then I should replace with similar. I switched out the 2017 wheels for my FN wheels.
I also pulled off my Pro grille, had kept my stock one, pulled off the running boards, pulled off the red dash trim and replaced with the silver one from the new truck. Pulled the TRD Pro shift knob, the Beaver tail hitch, the TRD Pro CAI, mud flaps, switched out the 2017 stock one, the ARE Overland cap, BedRug and the LED hi, low and fog lights. PITA to take it all off and then install on the 2017.
Also got the ARE cap painted with Linex.....that’s some bad ass stuff. They put on like 3 coats to smooth out the edges of the original Linex. It’s semi bullet proof now. $625 arrgh!
    Worth it though.

Thanks again to @paranoid56 for laser cutting all of these custom pieces, @Nitori for sharing his drawing of the Head Light pieces, & @mesojdm for sharing his drawing for my Hood Scoop. I know my cousin isn’t on here, but I’d like to thank her as well for making all of my drawings fit perfectly to my truck. We spent a full day tweaking the Fog Light Bezels so that they would fit with all of the angles and curves. She also resized and added my grill markings to the Head Light Bezels as well.

Yeah. I’ve already been hit up from one member regarding my Head Light and Fog Light Custom Pieces. Problem is, without @paranoid56 cutting them for me, I wouldn’t have been able to get them. I’d love to turn it into a small business and any cash I’d receive could help me fund more projects for my truck. I just don’t have the correct tools to cut the pieces. If anyone is interested, feel free to hit up @paranoid56 and give him the business. He has all of my drawings. After all, that’s what TW is all about. Sharing the wealth and helping each other out. They look amazing in person and I highly recommend getting them. All I ask is if you are interested in getting these custom pieces, please tag me in your posts so I can follow all of your installs. I’d love to see them.

Installed Supernova V.3 LED headlights this evening. https://headlightrevolution.com/201...ow-beam-headlight-bulb-upgrade-supernova-v-3/

The light output is a little less than I expected but it's about the same as stock. I really like the white tone it puts out versus the stock yellow look. These were super easy to install because it required no tools unless you want to unbolt the windshield washer fluid container for easier access. I recommend these to anyone looking to get rid of the stock yellow lights while keeping it easy to install.

These aren't the best pictures because my phone struggled to focus on the lights but they get the point across. Next upgrade is an OEM TRD Pro grill that should arrive tomorrow!

What @Inferno75 said, your work came out top notch! I'm really amazed by how well all the pieces came out. I'd also like to get more details on how you did the under headlight pieces especially- I currently am running @mesojdm prototypes of the smooth/body color style for testing.

Are those rivets or screws/bolts with caps over them? I'm thinking maybe a body color bolt-in piece (vented or not!) might look pretty badass and kill two birds with one stone, which is we are seeing clearance and rubbing issues on "full" covers that cover up the entire unit.

Yeah. I worked a day and a half on all the pieces except the hood scoop with my cousin. We would go and measure, print, measure some more, print, etc. it was a lot of fun doing it. Both my cousin and I are OCD, so we made sure we got it right before sending all of the pieces to get cut by @paranoid56. I only wanted him to have to do it once. As for mounting them. I thought long and hard on how I wanted to do that. I was going to get some screws and have them powdercoat the top so that they would tie right in with the black, but I wasn’t about to spend the money with our local shop powdercoating them. I’ve never powdercoated a day in my life, and although some may post after this that it’s easy and I could do it, I just didn’t have the time or knowledge. Instead, I went to our local hardware store and wanted to find something that wouldn’t rust on me. I used black push in fasteners (also known as Bumper Fasteners) for my scoop and headlights. With the headlights, I didn’t want anything too long because once I get my new headlights, I will be switching these out and installing them on my new headlights. Plus you don’t want to puncture the housing at all. For the Fog Light custom bezel pieces, I needed something a little longer due to the plastic sections that go horizontal on the OEM piece. I ended up get black cap covers and used a stainless bolt, washer, and lock nut. I didn’t think a screw would hold them in long term as you need it to curve the Aluminium around our bumper and hold. It took me a couple trips after work to figure out what I wanted to do with the fog lights because I already had the head lights and the hood scoop installed and there’s no way I would have been ok with them not looking alike. These caps stick out a little bit more than the push in fasteners, but you can’t even tell unless you are me. Hahaha If you have an ACE Hardware near you, these are the pieces I used for my Hood Scoop and Head Lights. The hole size in all of my custom pieces is 3/16”.

Here is a pic of the black fastener I used (tip is cut off as I took the pic after I cut it off for the Head Light Bezel install. For the Hood Scoop, I didn’t have to cut the ends off)

Here is a pic of what I used to install the Fog Light Bezels.

    7B50835B-7F78-4DD3-BBC1-74E9D179489E.jpg

Why I was over at ACE, I also picked up some more to install in the bed of my truck from the holes I had for my Bottle Opener and my Fire Extinguisher.

I plan on covering these up eventually with a Molle Rack System. Looks a lot better rather than just open holes.
