Damn. They're proud of their LEDS, aren't they? $800 for a pair of 3" work lights with the wiring and $1000-1800 for a light bar is definitely more than I'm looking to spend for something that would see limited use at best

Edit- Well, they've got some less expensive light pod offerings that I found. Still $200, but not as bad.

Never noticed any noise out of mine. I had the offroad package, though, so maybe a different set?

 

Could be--I know the shocks are different, but I'm not sure if the springs are. Mine is a 3-leaf pack and seems to ride pretty stiff (which is a good thing).

 

Morning guys,

This morning I got in my truck, put the key in, pushed the clutch cancel button, and turned the key to the start position and nothing happened (did not crank, click, or anything. I mean nothing)... the radio and headlights and dash lights were on though like they should have been. I turned the key again and it cracked for about half of second then stopped. I turned the key once more and the truck started fine and I drove to work. Anyone have any ideas? I'm thinking my starter is on the way out. Thanks

 

Does it still work correctly when you step on the clutch? Could be that your clutch cancel switch isn't getting a good contact and needs to be replaced. If you use it all the time it might just be worn out.

 

Question: what were you doing when you heard them? When I had my F150, I thought there was a creak in the springs as I could hear an annoying squeak while driving every now and again. Turned out to be the tailgate squeaking on the latch post. I greased the pin and the squeak went away. Just a thought.

 

I was able to buy it with the bumper "used" (he changed his mind before installation) from a member for a yuge discount

 

Try unplugging and then plugging the button back in

 

I guess he didn't 'know more about LEDs than the manufacturer', then.

 

Im not sure. It started and I left lol ill have to see if it happens again and then skip the button and try it. I do use the button regularly

Yea the button wouldn't light up anymore and the plug wasnt seated properly anymore. I also had an issue that every 8 months to a year the radio fuse under the hood would back itself out just enough to keep the radio on til you shut the truck off, then the radio wouldn't turn on the next time you started the truck

 

The light was on on the button when I pressed it this morning though. Ill take a look at the button anyway. I want to check my starter too and make sure they connections are tight too

 

Could just have not had a good contact, check for corrosion on the battery and the starter positive terminals. Clean with baking soda and bottled water mixed and a brush if needed

 

I checked the battery connections this morning. Those were tight and the battery had no corrosion on it

 

I know that on my '99 the owner's manual said not to use the CC switch regularly to start it, that you should use the clutch for the day-to-day and only use the CC switch 'when the situation demanded it' while off-roading.
So if I were to guess, the switch isn't designed for a lot of use like the clutch switch is, and it's wearing out.

 

I meant on the back of the switch for the connection

Getting out of the truck. Last time I heard it I was able to duplicate it by pushing down on the back bumper.

 

I remember that commercial when it came out in 1969.
