Well there you have it. Go to the local lumber store late at night. Open the tailgate, lights come on, load some lumber that requires you to keep the tailgate open. Hit the secondary switch, turn the lights out. Boom, roll on down the road. Easy peasy.

    Thanks Matt! You Da Man!

If I've already installed the push button, how hard is it to install a pressure switch?

Installation: Drill one hole and remove the tail light to access the wiring.

Matt, My truck was finally delivered and I got the bed LEDs installed today. Man do they do the trick. Even with the bed extender. I know it wasn't necessary, but I ended up removing the power outlet housing to drill the switch hole from the outside in, and gain a little extra maneuvering room. Thanks again. I'll post again when I get the under hood lights hooked up.20180506_213204.jpg 20180506_213211.jpg 20180506_134306.jpg 20180506_134309.jpg

I have added iStep running boards, a Bestop rear mounted TrekStep, a BakFlip MX4, a Pop N Lock Power Tailgate Actuator, Chrome tailgate insert letters and MattGekeo LEDs
I did it the same way fatboyfirebass, I did not want to take a chance on scratching the outlet cover and also wanted to get exact placement of the push button. I recommend doing this, it doesn't take much longer and makes for a clean installation.
